we tore apart my door, thinking it was the window...it was not, it's flimsy, but the actual rattle i was hearing over big bumps/railroad tracks was my door. adjusted the striker to where you had to shut door pretty hard to get it to shut, and noise was instantly gone.
Have any of you guys saw smoke out of tail pipe intermittently? I know this sounds stupid but I have twice, but zero other times. Losing coolant at a slow pace. Running fine, zero codes, no leaks I see and I park in the same 3 places daily
Hey man hope all is well!!
Still scratch my head about this process, but in the end I'm glad I did it.
I still take the curvy way to work in this or the zl1, it's such a fun vehicle. When people ask me if I still like it (16k miles now) I tell em if it was totaled today I'd be on the hunt for...
So a little update for anyone trying to alleviate this on their own...it appears it was my striker. We adjusted it and I hear nothing now. I asked the dealer to look into it, but was just given the "it's a common issue with the window and we have a Q3 2025 fix coming hopefully"
So I took the...
I hate to resurrect this after all these years, but did any of you guys that had a passenger side rattle around the latch area with the windows up ever find a fix, whether DIY or dealer?
Yes. Sounds weird and I have no idea if it's from Ford or just someone figured it out. But it does change the rattle temporarily. Now I find myself adjusting it almost daily and avoiding the known potholes/imperfections
I sure hope so.
I actually did the roll down and hold 10sec, then up and hold 10sec, then repeat...and no rattles today.
Fully expect it to come back and the temp range of 40-50deg is really what sets it off
Guess they pushed the date back...again lol
Has anyone come up with a DIY fix?
My passenger rattles fully up, sounds like it's coming from latch area. Love the vehicle but this drives me nuts
i drove one while my TRX was in the shop for 20 weeks and didn't expect to like it as much as i did. soaks up the holes on my bumpy alternate commute, and actually corners ok for what it is. i take the curvy 2 lane highway to work now, on purpose...like it's fun.
i had a 2010 JKU on 37s for...
Te37xt is 18lbs. I currently have the oem beadlock capable wheels.
take a very curvy 2 lane highway to work now...imagine how much more fun this would be.
If I read that correctly, and you just changed to 10# lighter wheels at every corner, you would absolutely notice a difference. Whether it's race car or not.
Not trying to argue here, but I've done this on my old jeep and it made such a difference I'll never not pay attention to tire/wheel...
What issue do you run into at -12 offset?
I was looking at signature wheels since they made some for the f150 guys, but I'm not sure I'll spend that on a vehicle that sits outside lol.
MTE looked pretty high on this flash, like i've been reading it might afterwards, and i saw boost hit 22.8 this time. no idea why i' m not getting the higher numbers like some in here, but the delta is there(5psi)
i can't really blame it on the dealer as it was their first one and they were...
so i am just seeing it barely touch 18# boost at any time , monitoring with the procal now, but dash never saw above 17#...i paid an hour labor and left my laptop overnight for them to not flash it didn't i?
