So those are the main parts. I'm sure you can possibly find cheaper elsewhere on some parts. However the main thing you need is the dash. Not sure how much Ford has them listed for. I'm been wanting to get a spare 8" dash and see if it's possible to modify it to fit 12" and still look stock.
Yeah, being that the apim from badlands was a b& o it had completely different digits. Never knew because when I did the swap. I didn't use forscan, wasn't til after. So I downloaded my as built using my vin., replaced digits And now it's working perfectly.
So after so much research I tried changing just one digit on the 7D0-01-01 but that didn't work. So I decided to just change it to my as built setting for my 8" big bend and sure enough it worked.
Appreciate you taking the time to share that info. When you have a chance can you confirm what you ended up under the 7d0-01-01. Because Schwaggle settings start with 0 and yours with a 2. Just want to be sure before I reset those settings.
Yes Schwaggle(my inspiration)and I communicated some time back. I followed all his steps to make this conversion happen. And he passed this information to me as well
however I wasn't too comfortable changing those numbers in my apim/acm Because this was based off a ecosport thread from many...
I understand just searching for help, thanks for input. However I do believe if you shop around I'm sure it can be done for a reasonable price. If you ever decide to take the plunge I'm here to help.
I bought everything off of a wrecked badlands. Paid 1200 for the dash, apim, 12" screen along with all the heated vinyl seats, and b&o sub box and amp. Got lucky, however I have been composing a list together off of ebay parts and so far apim about 300, 12" screen about 200, 4 pin 12volt plug...
