  1. DIY - remote engage/disengage Rough Country Hidden Winch lever

I did not notice the 10 sec at 500 amp with 20-30 sec cool down. I have not followed that at all and have used the winch with the remote many times and have had no issues. I do carry the wired remote in my kit for the time when the remote does not work.

I like that setup a lot. Looks solid and simple. I wish my winch clutch faced forward like that so I could do the same. I wonder if I can rotate the side like that…

You’re right about that. The method I tried with the flex bit drive does not work well so I will just reach in and turn the handle or get a water shut off T handle to engage/disengage. That requires opening the hood but short of a winch with remote clutch that’s the easiest way I can think of now.

Here is what I used on my winch and it has worked great. Been through water and mud and have never needed it but have tested it and pulled it out to dry out the line and it works great. https://a.co/d/aQEfffL
  5. Here We Go...Which Winch?

I went with the the RC 12k and hidden winch mount. I added a wireless remote control and put the power through a relay controlled by an upfitter switch. Also use the freedom winch fairlead. Very happy with the set up as it’s clean and out of the way but there if I need it.

I bought the wireless remote on amazon and wired it up to the winch control box so you can still use the wired or the wireless. Its a simple add on that came with an extra control solenoid that you don't need but could use if yours fails some day. It was $55 the small black box on the side is...

that looks like a good spot for the plug. I have mine zip tied near the battery as a back up if the wireless remote fails.
  8. Tailgate Reinforcement for 37's

I did the same thing to my badlands non sad. 3” lift upper control arms rear track bar relocation bracket and tailgate reinforcement. I went with the iag X brace and it fit perfectly. Just remember the rear tail light bracket to raise the light. Its solid and replaces the entire hinge so there...

everything installed and working great. I also added a solenoid to disconnect power to the winch from the upfitter switches and I added a wireless remote so so need for the wired plug to operate. It all fit with the capable bumper with no issues and I added some moose knuckle shackles.
  10. DIY - remote engage/disengage Rough Country Hidden Winch lever

I was thinking the same thing with the material the adapter is made of. I was going to look into if I could take off and put on just when I'm wheeling or spray it down with rustoleum before install.
  11. DIY - remote engage/disengage Rough Country Hidden Winch lever

This seems to be the best option I have seen and I am copying this. I am just having trouble with the connection from the winch to the opening on the 90 degree adapter. What did you use or modify for get that fit?
