I am getting these alerts courtesy of someone having smashed into my driver's side mirror with their truck mirror in traffic. Housing looks fine but the mirror glass is gone and the sensor wires are disconnected and exposed due to that loss. Repair estimate is $2k for that $600 replacement...

Do your homework on the aftermath of wraps - if left on too long it does not come back off as one full piece and can also damage the finish underneath. It cracks from sun wear and becomes a mosaic of tiny individual pieces.
