i LOVE MY 2-DOOR V-6. A '22; and I'm holding on to it as long as I can. In fact, I bought an extended warranty for it, and I've never done that on a vehicle before now. The 2-door, V-6, with the Ford Perf software is a wonderful thing. The engine and the transmission are nicely dialed in...
I love driving a manual, but I have zero problems with the 2.7, auto, with the Ford Perf tune. That tune really dials in the transmission nicely and the seat of the pants feel is noticeable. Enough that I'll gladly pay for premium fuel. I'll never dial that tune back, No Sir.
22, 2.7 2-door, w/auto. I have the ford tune and would not ever want to go back. Better shifting, engine more alive, and no auto Start-stop. Win. Win. Win. $600 over the span of time and miles is not pricey. I fill with 93 octane, reasonable at Costco, and get around 23 mpg.
22 OBX 2-DR 2.7: I have the camera recall and a wiper motor thing too. Neither has been a problem to date. I guess I'll try to knock both out when the camera stock arrives. I hope I'm good on the valve stems. No word about that yet.
Iāve used the back seat twice in the last year. I just leave them folded down. I was glad they were there the 2 times I needed them. Most the time, the rear with folded seats is just for my Great Dane, Carrie.
I thought I wanted a manual, but then I drove the 2-door with the auto and V-6. I bought the V-6 & auto. Then....... I bought and installed the Ford Performance Tune. I've been grinning since then, both with the power and the improved transmission tune.
