Oh I cut the OEM downpipes... I get why some might not want to do that but I knew there was never any going back for me... Some might not have the stomach for that, though! Only the downpipes, though. I didn’t cut anything else and nothing else had to be removed to get the remaining OEM pipes out.

Answering my own question here with a live update: I think if most people seen what it takes, they wouldn’t attempt this. For one example, here’s what you will need to remove the driver-side inboard turbo-to-cat nut:
