Im a photographer and filmmaker, having the extra space would be amazing to prep gear on. It also levels out the cargo for when I car camp with my pup. We took a trip to Montana and that 3 inch ledge killed my back.

Does anyone know if any companies are working on a slide out tailgate? Been trying to hold off from buying Fords $1400 version. Been contemplating making my own but would want to make it would of metal and not wood.
