Yep, that’s where I start… I’m 6’5” and just want another inch down if I could get that handle to go a few more pumps!
I thought about those but I guess my height is in the torso… and I’d love to feel like I’m not peeking out of a tank window… can never see stoplights without tilting sideways...
I have searched to no avail… have any tall peeps found or fabricated a solution to drop the driver’s seat?
Even an inch would be great… DDI has this for the wrangler, but I haven’t found a solution for Bronco. Considering DIY’ing it…
Well I finally got back to attempting again… and success!
I don’t have access to a lift so I used a tall jack on the frame and did each side individually.
As predicted, MUCH hammering was involved… but they eventually got on.
it looks like they will be quite sturdy. And a bonus is I’ve...
There was a good thread about using the Trailrax half rack with the Skyrider, but it looked like the Skyrider overlapped too much for me, so I went with Sunrider. I really like the idea of Trailrax with Pack Rax and Sunrider through....
That said, I would like to see Trailrax (or somebody)...
I got the Sunrider (which is great) and swapped the factory rack for the Broaddict mini rack Black_Stallion13 mentioned above... haven't used the rack really yet, but honestly am still thinking about going with Trailrax with side Pak Rax down the road. It was just too much to spend to start...
I am stymied... about to put my tools away! Ugh... I am attempting to install the RCI Rear Shock Mount Skids but am stuck at step 1a in the instructions.
It says to "Shift the lower linkage bolt so that the nut contacts the mount and there is space between the bolt head and the mount." Which...
Did you ever get them installed? @35tires
It does look straightforward, but I am about to post a HELP thread because I can't seem to get the e lower linkage bolts shifted....
Agreed completely on the TrailRax, just thinking of a budget approach for now. Hoping to get into the Skyrider first and then go from there. Thanks for the inspiration!
@lakesinai this looks like a great setup, but I'm wondering about how it sits on the rack. I saw the new Broddict rack and wondered if it might allow the top to come down a little more flush. Not as nice of rack, but budget would allow me to get Skyrider too. :)

I was thinking maybe you used the Make Offer function on E-Bay to get the half rack from HookeRoad for ~$200. Looks like the best I'm finding is $299.... :)
Thanks for the update on the project. Looks like a winner!
How are you liking this? Any worries about the glass and the suction cup under load?
JCR has the side panels on sale for $183 but the half rack looks to be $299 now. Did you do Make Offer to get the lower price?
