Bought this HVAC controller for my 21 Bronco Badlands Lux package (Canadian). Previous owner had removed the soft top and converted to a hardtop. I was never able to get this to power my heated rear glass. Ford dealership unable to get it to work. I have a new 24 Bronco and no longer need this. $300
I had the DV8 delete kit on my last Bronco. The look and quality of the kit was excellent. Instructions were clear. The problem I ran into was overpressure inside the cabin. The spare delete effectively seals off the louvers with the rubber flaps in the tailgate that helps air to escape the...
Does anyone know how to trick the computer into thinking I have a hardtop from the factory? I have access to VIN numbers. Do I just enter a VIN from a 21 Badlands with factory hardtop and then program the HVAC module to as built spec?
Does anyone know how to get my heated rear window to work? My 21 Badlands came with a soft top from the factory. When I bought it slightly used it had a ford hardtop with wires and washer fluid lines run to the hardtop. They never changed the control signal stalk or the HVAC module. The dealer...
I have been racking my brain and going crazy to find and resolve the whistling noise in my 21 Badlands. It happens in strong crosswinds and when it’s below 40F. To make a very long story short I believe the spare tire delete is the cause of this issue. The DV8 and other delete parts seal the...
No bueno. 2 dealers and wasted money. Last dealer said they didn’t have the correct access to change anything. I’m stuck. Is it time for me to do it or push the dealers to get more access?
I got a little excited and removed the old HVAC controller. Installation of the new one was a breeze. Then I reread your post. Certain functions don’t work with the new one in. Can I just have the dealer program the new one in? Do I have to remove the old in FDRS first?
I have a 21 Badlands Lux pkg. I bought it used. The vehicle is a Canadian model and originally came from the factory with a soft top. The first owner did a conversion with the wiring, tubing, and Ford hardtop. I replaced the rear glass since one of the electrical tabs has broke off. I have the...
I’m stuck between the two. I’ve done research on here and can’t make up my mind. My last vehicle was a modified Exploder ST with 5* E50 tune. I off road a few times a year. I drive in winter storms frequently since I’m a skier. Looking to keep it simple and reliable, but want a noticeable...
I got 1 inch foam. The EPDM was to flimsy. 1" is too big and pushes the seal to far from where it should seat. 3/4 is just right. I'm whistling now on the right side only. So there's another area that I need to find and address. Good thing I have a 3.5 hour drive to Minneapolis tomorrow for...
I'm going the same route tonight. EPDM rubber pipe insulation and weather stripping. How did yours turn out?
My hard top was added later. My Bronco was originally a soft top. Someone did a really nice job running all the lines but did not put a new switch in to make it all work. Ford will not...
I'm going the EPDM rubber route like you. 7/8 internal diameter, which is about .10" larger OD for a little more compression to make a better seal. Great idea for the front. It just turned cold here in WI yesterday and the whistling noise on my way to and from work was horrendous. I had some 1...
OVS 117qt box. The strap handles come off and allow the box to get strapped down without interfering with opening the box. Will use a straight end roller cam strap to prevent box from shifting L to R. 6 foot straps in pics above were loop end. I want to go around the rack rail.
Practice run for camping and adventures in Northern WI and the U.P. The Roller Cam overland set arrived. M6 and M8 rings from Amazon. Black rings from Front Runner. TSlot protection from Amazon. Camper weather stripping and metal edge protection from Amazon. Local hardware store provided the...
Thanks. I’ve also found some stuff on Amazon that works too. I will post it after I get a chance to fully test it on my upcoming overlanding trip. That would be camping in Wisconsin lol.
Mission fail. Placed the full RV grade seal on the rack and 0 intrusive road noise or whistle. Next experiment is to get another RV seal that doesn’t touch the paint. Current RV seal is folded up and sitting against the paint.
