I had these in my '23 for about 6-8 months. Decided to add an amp and went with AF speakers. 4" - 3 for dash and 2 for rear pods. 6-3/4" for kick panel.
Also have a couple packs of metra adapters I will include. $200 shipped lower 48.
Has anyone tried this on a 2.7? Looks like it would fit fine with modifying the rear passenger hanger. Wonder how it would sound?
Perhaps this is a pricing error? It shows the 2.7 version as $1,000 more.
I tried kicker k series in the kick panels and did not notice much difference. I then upgraded to the mobridge amp and it was a very noticeable improvement. I then upgraded the kickers to audiofrog gs60 and did not notice a massive difference (to justify the $$). To sum up, the kick speakers...

It would absolutely be worth it. I have kicker KS speakers installed and it sounds good with 4" in dash and rear pods and 6.75 in kicks. Also have a JL 8w1 sub with single coil. Plenty of bass for me.
100x better than stock, and I agree stock amp with new speakers is not much of an upgrade...
There are a couple good threads on the site that detail what is needed if you search. You will need to remove pieces from the donor vehicle if they are not already removed. With the dual top option, 2 brackets are bolted on the roll bar above rear doors, 2 brackets are bolted in the rear cargo...
While the corner upgrades are modest, the kick panel is almost nonexistent unless you add an amp. I would upgrade the kick panel only if you decide to go with an amp/mobridge, else save the $$.
^^^^
Many people feel upgrading dash and pod speakers are a decent upgrade. I was underwhelmed with the speaker upgrade, and wasn't happy until the mobridge amp. While expensive, it was a massive improvement and worth it to me.
Pretty sure it is a weight issue with the badlands and Ford will not let you option the Badlands with a rack. I picked up a used OEM rack and use it with a Thule box. Works fine. 27.5" c-c of cross bars.
I have KS 4 inch in dash and pods with 6.75 in kick panels. I opted for a JL 8 inch sub in existing location and have been very happy.
I was a bit underwhelmed with sound from the loaded tune, but a message to Fraser and a couple suggested tweaks later, it was great, and I was shocked. He...
A couple months ago I installed a very similar setup. I used KS 4 inch in the dash and pods, and 6.75 in the kick panels. I did the install myself, but local shops were steering me away from the larger pod speakers since they are mostly fill. The 2 shops I spoke with recommended the stinger...
Purchased the foam from Foam Factory. May be able to find cheaper. It is also a pretty tight fit over the roll bar, and the 1.5" thick may be easier to install. The cover in Pic 2 is actually my J-tops bimini. Foam just sits on the j-tops and is not fastened to the top at all there. Also, I...

Also a link to source the brackets from mountains2metal. Those brackets have been priced wrong for a couple months now. I ordered oem in December and they were $30 with no eta.
It is very strange for that part to be so limited. Also crazy prices when you search for the updated ‘d’ part number. The m2m brackets are steel and include bolts. It appears the ford parts may be plastic, but I am not sure.
