Well the sad story is I foolishly thought it would be comical to “surprise” my wife with my new truck. Turns out purchasing a 2 door MT vehicle that a mother of four can’t drive was not a wise decision. I drove it off the lot today. Has 10 miles on it but I’ll be driving to work until I sell it...
Yeah they’re pretty amazing. I like the look of the flare delate but I’m not too keen on the issues with tire poke and I don’t think they get a pass in PA.
I’m not the guy to chance doing that on my own, but yeah I’ve considered having them sprayed. I’m also looking at the ADV fender replacements but they’re not making them for 2 doors yet.
This of course is a long shot but if anyone in the Philadelphia area wants to sell their OBX color matched flares or trade them for my standard mic flares please reach out! Thanks.
40. 4 kids under 9. Because I can’t fit my family in anything but a minivan or large SUV, it doesn’t really matter what I drive as long as my wife’s vehicle can fit us all. So I ordered what I want, a 2 door.
I happen to think the EB is aesthetically perfect. Like a 911, I’d prefer to see evolution rather than revolution. Some designs simply can’t be improved upon. I hope Ford feels the same way.
I agree though we seem to be in the minority. Something about the grille doesn’t work for me. The way it wraps around gives it a slightly tacked on look, vs the integrated feel of the early Bronco. Im still buying one, but am hoping for an aftermarket “fix”.
It’s all so silly, much akin to the analog vs digital debate in the audiophile world. Who the hell cares if someone prefers listening to a record rather than streaming an album. We like what we like. I like a stick shift, simple as that.
Truth is I’m not an off-roader and probably never will be, but since this is the only square SUV with a stick shift in the US, and I’ve always loved the OB and rowing my own, Ford has left me no choice but to buy one!
