I'm very familiar with working with dense scans and meshes as well as simplifying and aligning them for use (One of my hobbies is VFX work, which often works with dense meshes rather than parametric CAD) I just don't have the equipment to make them at the moment.
I would love to have scans of other pieces of the vehicle. I've done photoscan type scans, but they don't yield precise enough results to do anything super useful with. I'd happily pay for them, or help organize, or convert, etc.
I gotta say, those instructions are pure garbage. The content in this thread is pretty good to help fill the gaps. I did the "one hinge at a time" approach, which actually lets you skip a bunch of steps in the instructions. You don't need to unplug the wiring harness, which means you don't have...
I haven't been a fan of tube doors, but the modularity here is a definite +1. I'd love something super light-weight (like, that fits in the back) to go from "no doors" to "something keeping the weather out" on the trail (or even at the mall). This looks close, but perhaps too bulky to be called...
I'm curious if you refined these measurements after trying some things. I printed a quickie template to see how close they were and they weren't close enough for the bolts to go in. I tweaked them a bit and I'm printing a new one and will share my updates.
Can we get some more info on how you routed the wiring for your light bar? You mentioned that the "weather stripping pulls out of it's home to allow easy routing". Do you have any more details? Which part did you remove, and where did you route things? You also mentioned the wire fed through a...
I got mine last Monday and today I got the following:
By now you and your Ford Bronco™ SUV have been united at last, and you’re already onto your next adventure.
We had hoped to surprise every customer with a picture of their Bronco™ as it was exiting the assembly line, but unfortunately, due...
Mine flipped back from "confirmed" to shipped, and I got my shipped email this morning with a shipped date of 4/9. Email says 4/18-4/24, tracker says 04/15- 04/28.
My tracker has reverted to "order confirmed" today. All the other steps still have the dates next to them, but the overall status is back to "confirmed". I wonder what that means.
I'm curious how long folks in this build week have been waiting for their Bronco. I originally ordered 07/16/2020, so I'm VERY excited to be near the finish line.
My pizza tracker finally flipped to built overnight. (3/14 blend date, 3/15 in production date on tracker, 3/27 built date) I'm starting to think this might actually happen after almost 3 years.
FYI, I tried "Ford Chat" again and said I was specifically looking for a delivery estimate (rather than build status). They still told me it was "In Production", but they gave me April 6th-12th as a delivery range. (for a 3/14 blend date and delivery to western Washington).
FWIW, I also tried...
