Exactly. If you have a sasquatch bronco, just the tuning with your code and procal tool is $200. If you have a non sas bronco and install the rack yourself, it will be $400 since they have to program it once with procal and with the other software/programming they use.
Correct. Saved a lil over a thousand with that. If youre gonna do that and you have the procal tool. Make sure you save your current settings before removing anything. I messed up by not doing that, but luckily they're pros, so they were still able to get it done.
400 for the 2 programs. They might have not used the procal. I think the guy said they used their software to program it. I would call and ask to be sure though. I gave them mine when I dropped of my bronco.
If you live in SoCal and need a solution for your Non SAS bronco. Take it to Galpin auto sports in Los Angeles. I installed it myself and had them do all the programming. They are wizards there, they know exactly what to do. My bronco drives great now. Headache gone.
If youre in the socal area and are having the same issue. Just take it to G.A.S. They took care of the double programming. Now my bronco works perfectly. Nuff said.
I've seen the steering rack for like 900 on the web. If you wanna do the install yourself and buy the rack and procal, definitely first step before uninstalling the rack, hook up the procal 1st and download your stock setting to the procal tool before removing anything. I messed up and did that...
They said they would charge $200 to program twice. I installed myself so I didn't ask for installation. It actually might be worth them doing everything though. You should call and ask. Then update us on the price for everything 👍🏼
I called ford of north hills, they recommended me to G.A.S galpin auto sports. I called them and they knew exactly what needs to be done, dual programming ford the non sas 4 door. I have an appt Friday. I'll update once it's all done!
Update: I installed the FP severe steering rack, it drove like shh, obviously. I took it in to my local ford dealer "sunrise ford" in Fontana, CA. They weren't competent enough to figure out the program. Another thread recommended I try ford in North hills, CA. I called them. They recommended me...
Thanks, actually he's been very helpful in another thread. I ended up installing it, cluster pit up like a Xmas tree but still drove. Took it to the dealer today and one of the foreman techs is gonna work on it. So fingers crossed
Generally non SAS 4 doors. The ones FP says aren't compatible with their severe steering rack: "2021-2023 bronco 4Dr base, big bend, OBx, BD, & BL that do NOT have the factory sasquatch package."
