I checked on the JCR website and the comments on their YouTube install posts. To take the fro t panels off, you just have to lift the front farring a bit and it will pass up. Or remove the front farring, but will cause wind noise. I see what you mean by the Sunrider having to lay flat.

Same … I have a 4Dr with MIC hardtop and will install the sunrider. I’m not overlanding but wanted an option to put ski racks or my cargo box on top. Badass tents has one. Check to see if it’ll work on your 2dr.
