Thanks to @BigMeatsBronco! The smaller gauge pins were rotating while trying to install them. I stripped the loom back a couple more inches so could get the seal out as well.
That enabled me to line up the pins correctly and get everything back together.
@BigMeatsBronco Thanks for the response. I think you nailed it and the wires are rotating as I try to install them. My eyes aren't what they used to be, so I think I will unwrap part of the harness going to the C301 connector so I can slide the back retainer and gasket up the hardness further...
Installing the Ford trailer wiring harness, VP2DZ-15A416-A on my 2023 Bronco Base. Everything was going well until I got I tried to insert Pin 9 (green) and Pin 10 (red) into the connector. I just can't seen to get them in and seated. I check to make sure the plugs had been completey removed...
As far as color goes, I went with black because my little sister loved black vehicles. It was built on what would have been her 59th birthday. Some things you can't explain.

I would be shocked if Ted Hustle offered MSRP pricing. After getting jerked around by all the dealerships in the greater Knoxville area and one outside of Chattanooga, I moved my order to Two Rivers Ford in Mt Juliet, TN. Under MSRP and very reasonable doc fees.
