UPDATE: Ford has approved a vehicle buyback on the busted Bronco. Now the decision; get back in line or take the cash and look elsewhere. Love the idea of the Bronco but Ford has given me a serious reality check. Thoughts?
Thanks for looking at the errors. Sounds reasonable. I was driving through really intense rain before it happened the first time. Pulled over at a Cabela's to let the storm pass. When I came out, it wouldn't start. Did notice the gigantic gaps in the front wheel well linings. Seems like...
This truck has been looked at by two different Ford mechanics from Dearborne, MI as well as the techs at the two service departments it's been towed to. The Ford guys from Michigan recommended it be driven until it failed as they couldn't recreate the problem.
I've had enough of being stranded by this Bronco. Total power loss while driving. Won't restart. Very dangerous situation.
Until now Ford couldn't find the problem and I was told to drive it until it failed again. Well damn, when it fails I'm left stranded on the road. This time on a...
Happened to me too (posted awhile back). It's been 6 weeks without the Bronco. Still haven't had it home since I bought it. Ford finally is transporting it to my local dealer to continue the diagnosis.
I see more Bronco's on tow trucks than on the road. My Bronco has shut off at highway speed 4 times in 2000 miles. Been towed twice. Dealer still doesn't have an answer.
UPDATE: got a call from the Dealership that the Bronco was ready. They and Ford felt there was moisture in the fuse box under the hood. All dried out and it started right up. There were no repairs. Flew from CA to KS and picked it up. I continued my journey home only to have it fail again after...
Bought the Bronco at Capital Ford in Raleigh because they didn't mark it over MSRP. Ordered 3/7/22 and took delivery 7/29. Wish they were my local dealer because they were great. Local dealers wanted 20k over MSRP. Fingers crossed I get 'Old Reliable' back soon.
