I saw the communications my tech had with the Ford hotline as he called it and they were not very good. I agree the techs use FDRS and there is no reason for Ford to change anything.

I had my Bronco at the dealer for a week because they thought it should work per the procedure above and after talking with the Ford engineers the 2.3L will not work per the procedure above. That is why I was hoping to find an inexpensive scan tool or another option on how to do this.

Thanks for trying. It might be true then that the Broncos with the 2.3L will not work. I find it hard to believe but that is 2 for 2 now. Hopefully some others will try so there is a bigger sample pool.
