I saw the communications my tech had with the Ford hotline as he called it and they were not very good.
I agree the techs use FDRS and there is no reason for Ford to change anything.
Ok thank you. I wonder if it has something to do with the manual transmission versus the automatic.
I will try again this weekend to see if anything changed.
Something that folds all the way back along with it being easy to remove and allow for the hard top to be put back on without removing all the brackets for people who live in a snow belt and want to swatch tops depending on the season.
How did you get it in brake service mode and was it with the 2.3L?
I have tried the procedure listed previously multiple times and I can't get it to work.
I tried after software updates to hoping it was part of it.
Thanks
I had my Bronco at the dealer for a week because they thought it should work per the procedure above and after talking with the Ford engineers the 2.3L will not work per the procedure above.
That is why I was hoping to find an inexpensive scan tool or another option on how to do this.
It is my understanding that the only way a Bronco with a 2.3L engine can be put into service mode to perform a rear brake job is with a scanner.
I have been trying to find a low cost scanner to do this but have not had any luck.
Has anyone found a scan tool that is inexpensive to put the...
Hello, I was looking into purchasing a Best Top Skyrider and have concerns of it wearing on the rear cargo area portion of the hard top.
Has anyone had a Skyrider for an extended period of time and if so is it wearing into or leaving marks on the hard top?
It seem like it just sits right on...
Further update.
I have found 2 other 2.3L owners local to me and the procedure does not work.
Out of curiosity is a response ever received from @Ford Motor Company
Thanks for trying.
It might be true then that the Broncos with the 2.3L will not work. I find it hard to believe but that is 2 for 2 now.
Hopefully some others will try so there is a bigger sample pool.
My understanding is that service mode retracts the piston for the ebrake and allows for the brake pads to be replaced.
The mechanic said without being able to put it in service mode I won't be able to do my own brakes.
If I'm wrong please let me know but it appears that vehicles with...
Thank you for the updated procedure.
The dealer is able to put it in service mode with the laptop if that is what the FDRS is.
I will do my own brakes and wanted to do it by pushing the buttons and gas pedal (short version).
I did not actually speak with the Ford engineers that looked at it...
Hello, I tried putting my 2022 Big Bend in service mode manually using the procedure in the link below and it would not work.
I then took it to the dealer who had it for a week and could not get it to work either. They handed me the paper copy of the procedure in the link below when I first...
A quick update.
So I have been going back and forth with my dealer on this and am being told Ford knows there is an issue but they do not know how to solve it.
Has anyone had this happen and there dealer was able to fix it?
Thanks
Hello, has anyone else had trouble putting their Bronco into brake service/maintenance mode?
I followed the procedure provided by another member of this group but no matter what I did I could not get it into brake service mode...
I wasn't looking for wheel nuts and was hoping it would be in the tire rotation section. I will have to check the manual again.
That's the perfect pic to add to my paperwork.
Thanks everyone
Hello, I've tried searching the forum for the lug nut torques spec but was unsuccessful. The manual supplied was not helpful either and searching the manual on the touchscreen I was unable to find anything.
Is there a table somewhere with the torques specs for the lug nuts?
I just rotated my...
