Bronco was running rougher than my old 97 4runner. Decided to jump ship and move on while I still could. It was my daily so I need something that won't be in the shop for months at a time. A warranty is great but not if you actually need the vehicle to drive. I couldn't see this powertrain going...
New O2 sensor did nothing for mine. After having it back for a day it has the same rough idle and I can tell it's gonna throw misfire codes soon cause it feels exactly like it did before. Mine is still under warranty but idk how many 30 day dealership fixes I can endure
So I just got my bronco back yesterday for misfires on 1 and 3. They were originally saying it needed injectors, then after 3 weeks said that it was an O2 sensor that needed to be replaced. They changed the plugs on those cylinders and replaced the O2 sensor. Got it back and now it starts...
Not sure if it's port or direct injectors or both. I will hopefully know more this afternoon but a week in I'm not confident this will be quick. If it's faster than the 30 days it took for the other dealership to replace a vapor management valve than I guess I'll be happy?
