Like many of us, I didn't know which compressor to get. I am a VERY average user. Maybe even below average, i.e. off-road maybe 2 or 3 times a year.
I didn't want to spend a lot of money getting an onboard compressor. check! I wasn't even too thrilled about spending $1000 for a...
Before disclosing the vendor, let me say that I had an excellent vendor experience with a product that, unfortunately, simply didn't fit my Bronco.
My question is: What do you expect from a vendor, form whom you order an accessory and that accessory doesn't fit/work as you expect?
Vendors...
What I later found is that the bolts should not be tightened until the door is in the closed position, i.e. latched. Tight the bolts while door is open and they don't fit. ONce the door is closed the bolts tighten as needed. These doors are indeed solid. Yes, agree, Maxwell was very helpful.
I have the Ford Performance portable ARB single compressor. Got it for free with Ford points. Will probably remove it from the portable box and mount it to the bronco someplace someday.
I noticed on Ford Site disclaimer to the effect: this does not fit the vehicle in your garage. I guess you...
Got my first trail marks, in the very dangerous confines of my garage!
Small scratches to the SAS fender flares. PSA: beware wall hangings in low places.
I think sanding them only makes it worse because of color differential to original finish.
Any suggestions on how to minimize the damage...
8 Months of ownership anniversary: 5,555 miles.
Averaging about 17 mpg around town [very few highway miles].
Outerbanks SAS mall crawler. . . and happy with no wind noise complaints [extra sound-deadening well worth it], really nice interior, acceptable stereo sound, roof that comes off super...
Have to laugh at the posts complaining that the dealer "low-balled" them or "didn't offer what my trade was worth!"
In fact, the dealer offered you EXACTLY what it was worth TO THEM! That's called a market place. Willing buyer and seller. Free trade. Capitalism. Remember?
CARVANA and...
Has anybody bought/installed sheepskin covers?
In a different lifetime, in a different century, I installed these in a convertible I was driving ta the time. A sweet Mercedes 280SL. [sigh!] Anyway, they were great.
Now, when we retrun to Betsy [the Bronco], the GF is worried that our sweaty...
Man I tell you what, some people on here just live on this forum to be hateful and sarcastic and couldnt say a nice word if their life depended on it.
And what's really funny is their analogy doesn't even "fit" so to speak. If the laces were not sized correctly for the shoes, out of the box...
I want to give big thumbs up to MAXWELL FORD in AUSTIN. Starting with reservations management, Christine did a fantastic job under difficult circumstances. She was responsive. Sometimes it took a few days, but considering the emails I'm sure she was getting, she was timely.
My salesman...
I called the salesman, who asked the parts department about fitting. Initially, parts department did not think they (the dealership) should fit the doors. Once we inquired of the service department, however, and considering these are doors listed on the sticker, they said to "come on down" and...
Bronco came with DIO Tube Doors, a manufacturer's sticker item. THE DOORS DON'T FIT!
Included in the package, after almost throwing them out, were small packages of adjusting plates. So, apparently, FORD expects these doors to be adjusted for fit.
Anyone have experience taking these back to...
Took delivery approximately one-month ago.
Scrolled through the various settings and noticed that tire pressure read to be approx. 46 - 47 psi one each tire. I didn't think much of it, thinking I had seen that pressure was supposed to be 49 and these are the inflation pressures as delivered...
OP's dealer was trading with another dealer for the Badlands. The other dealer sold the Badlands for over MSRP, which, most of us in the same situation, would also do. The "other dealer" had no arrangement with the OP. so, no, he was not "screwed over" by his dealership or, in fact, by any...
Just took delivery of an OBX with MIC2 hardtop. I am pleasantly surprised by the road/wind noise level. I had not driven a SAS on the highway and was a bit concerned about it after reading many of the posts. I don't think the noise is worse than any other truck I've driven and, on some road...
Just the number of them and the tendency for bolts and screws to get lost in any sort of activity like this. The bolts for where teh front attaches end up without a home, i.e. they don't attach to the rack itself, so I ended up putting them in the toolkit bag. PLUS, for some reason, four [I...
Removal of factory installed roof rack. First time, it took about an hour. That is, after configuring and cogitating about which bolts needed to be removed and whether whole thing would have to be disassembled.
It was relatively easy. Especially after i "matched" the oddball tool in the...
Hard top removal. Front panels are a breeze. One person, less than five minutes. Relatively low weight. Low risk of calamity.
Middle panel. I can tell is a bit trickier. I think one person can do it. Risk of calamity is moderate, mostly because of the size.
I guess. Tracker "popped" that it was in final preparation and dealership called me the next day to say it had arrived.
re: sound. I probably should note that this is with extra sound deadening.
re: auto start/stop. What? It doesn't seem to be a big deal. in fairness, given the oven we...
