Crawler gear is awesome, not just a gimmick. as others have said when the trail gets technical, waterfalls, rock gardens and the such, crawler gear is great, i actually wouldnt mind an even lower gear ratio. but once you get past the technical sections, crawler gear is too slow. so then back...
