They wouldn’t depreciate the asset because it hasn’t been put into service (it’s either in inventory or WIP) but the vehicle would not be a fixed asset. I guess if they sit for a long time they could sell them scratch and dent of damaged, but they also have the capacity to make whatever repairs...
