Most likely another failed APIM. Mine failed 3 hours after I took delivery of it in November. Still no ETA on a replacement from Ford. The only update that I have seen is that the list of backorders continues to grow.
I'm right there with ya. Been waiting on my APIM since literally 3 hours after I owned the Bronco. It crapped out 3 hours and only 124 miles after I picked it up back in November.
Last update was yesterday from Ford Engineering. They said they are working through the problems with progress being made but they are starting with the older ones first dating back to the beginning of October.
It sounds like there may be multiple issues. Not sounding good if they have been...
Test out your Sync 4 system. Pair with CarPlay (or Google Play) and test your screen. Then try to unpair your phone. This has caused a glitch to surface and the APIM fails completely. Once that happens it is a brick and they have to replace it.
Talked to them yesterday and the software update that engineers tested did not work. Looks like another week for sure. Do you still drive yours or is it at the dealer?
Not sure if you fixed your problem but it could be related to this, I detailed the issue I am having in my post on this thread: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/carplay-display-corruption.30374/post-1034427
Not sure if you ever fixed it but it could be related to the same problem I am having: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/carplay-display-corruption.30374/post-1034427
I had a similar problem after less than 12 hours of owning the vehicle. It turns out it was the APIM (computer that controls the accessory modules and Sync 4). The problem turns out to be a software glitch that is actually 'bricking' the APIM itself. When this happens, the entire APIM has to be...
Have them check with Ford on the known APIM problems and updates. Apparently Ford uses two suppliers and an update should have been rolled out to them as of yesterday (12/12).
I did learn from the Ford customer service center and my dealership that the software for the APIM needed an update that is launching this Sunday. They have delayed shipping my replacement APIM until this software can be updated as they think this is what caused the entire system to crash. Not...
Owned mine for less than 12 hours and the APIM (computer that controls Sync 4) completely stopped working. Screen froze when trying to disconnect Apple Play and then went black. Never came back on. Even disconnected the battery thinking everything will reset. No luck. Any way, on day 2 now of it...
