My first 4x4 was a 2000 Xterra. It was a great vehicle. The tag line at the time was "Everything you need, nothing you don't" (or something like that!). It handled the snow and mud great and gave me over 100K trouble free miles until it was in a t-bone accident. In 2000 it was a refreshing...
Thanks all! Will try to have it dealt with under warranty else I'll go to a shop and use it as an excuse to upgrade... I certainly wouldn't want to buy the same shocks and have this happen again in 2 or so years!
This evening my wife saw something in the driveway on the side I normally park on and when I looked at it, it appears to potentially be a part of my Bronco but no idea where it goes... assuming part of the shocks as the part says Bilstein on it but taking a look (in the dark, in the rain)...
Yeah, I never thought the sound was unforgivable, hell, I drove around my F150 for 10 years with the factory Sync 2 Sony system and only swapped out speakers after they blew out. My days of trying to build a competition worthy audio system are long gone! My hope was to get some clarity with...
Out of the 3 swaps, I think that was the least bang for the buck. The SSV pods were a very noticeable difference and the dash speakers added a level of clarity to the sound. As with the other speakers, it did improve the clarity, which I think was really the end result of doing this swap out.
Just wanted to share my experience in swapping out some speakers in my 2DR OBX w/ Lux package. Although I never thought the sound was horrible, it did feel lacking in some areas, but that said, I didn't want to undertake a huge and overly expensive project, just wanted "a little better" in the...
I have 4.2.3 and since this update about 50% of the time, Sync freezes when starting the Bronco... if I leave it alone, eventually the screen will go black for about 15 seconds, then the bucking Bronco appears, it reboots, and then works fine. Seems like either a problem with how the system...
I got this one: Perfect fit stubby antenna from Builtright Industries. Works great for the rare time I put the radio on, never have had a problem with reception. I live about 15 miles south of Buffalo, NY so it is basically all flat, as usual with these things YMMV depending on where you live...
The small fuel tank on the 2 door... coming from an F-150 with a 36 gallon tank has been an adjustment in my timing between fill up habits...
The windshield wipers that stop wiping in a driving rain... apparently the Ford engineers decided to create a solution in search of a problem...
I live south of Buffalo NY, so we get some snow here (some, HA!)... I have a Sasquatch OBX and the thing does well even in 2H with greasy roads. I have used 4A when they are dry in some spots, wet in others and I have also used 4H in the same way I did when I had my F-150. 4L is a beast, got...
No, not at all. I fully expect there to be multiple recalls during the time I own this vehicle. Ever since the Toyota accelerator issue, it seems like manufacturers are quicker to recall for things that "could get them in trouble", well, once the bean counters do the math...
What concerns...
We were getting 2-3" per hour with zero visibility and it is heavy water laden snow that anything but a highly capable vehicle gets stuck in, so in an attempt to keep the roads free of stuck cars they put the ban in place... that allows them to run the plows and try to keep lanes open for fire /...
I am kind of old school, give me 4H and 4L options and I'm happy (my last 2 vehicles were an F-150 FX4 and a Nissan Xtrerra)... the other day when we had that slushy snow before this lake effect storm I tried the slippery mode and it worked well. As far as this storm goes, 4L got me out of the...
Slightly different picture than my previous post after about 7 hours of digging out… We had about 70” of snow over 24 hours here in Hamburg, NY. The Bronco looks like it wants to go play in all this snow!
Taken this afternoon out my home office window… by the time we went out to tackle the driveway the snow was up to the hood of my SAS OBX…. Can confirm the Bronco handles snow great….
Installed the SS3 pod lights from Diode Dynamics. Got the amber lens as even though they are not for on road use, given the lake effect storms we get here, I am sure they will help me find my way home at least once this winter!
I bought this one from Builtright:
https://builtrightind.com/products/perfect-fit-stubby-antenna-ford-f-150-2021-bronco-2021
Seems to work the same as the factory one. I had to get a stubby antenna due to the parking garage I park in when I go into the office.
That said -- I rarely listen to...
Sucks that some of you are still waiting for your Bronco! I guess I should consider myself lucky. I got the built e-mail on the 18th, never got a shipped email although it showed shipped on the 18th in the tracker and got a call from my salesman on the 21st that it had arrived. It came...
When my wife got her Sport when they first came out, EVERYONE else on the road was checking it out... needless to say, that automatically put me into defensive driving mode when I drove. Fast forward to this weekend when I finally got my Bronco, I am not noticing as many people looking, except...
