I've taken calls going 65-75 with the top back and there doesn't seem to be much noticeable wind noise for the listener (no complaints anyways).     My lift mast garage door open has the ability to disable remote controls. I use it when parking outside. I’m think most new openers have this function.

    I had the mods yesterday and the tear tag this morning. The only thing I could see causing a delay would be the skid plates since it’s a BD.
