Damn. I might just see if I can get the bronco down to a local mechanic, don’t know how complicated pressure bleeding is but I sure as heck don’t have the tools to do it.

Yeah I didn’t switch them since I have the new portals. I’m realizing I may have messed up. The 74weld instructions do not mention pressure bleeding the brakes, just gravity bleeding. I’m assuming that’s not really possible on these new broncos with the electronic brake booster?… i gravity bled...

I did bleed the brakes! Followed th e instructions on 74welds instruction manual.

Thanks! No issues bleeding the brakes, went smooth. Just have a bit of a Christmas tree of warnings on the dash.

You guys have been very helpful! I’ve got it finished on my bronco. I did have one more question. I have the service advantrac light on, No precollision assist, and check brakes . i haven’t driven it yet, will it go away on its own or do I need to do something? I am not in brake service mode...

I noticed after installing the portals my factory wheels are now lug centric. Do they make any kind of adapter to make my wheels hub centric again?

I got a quick question. My 74weld portals came with the upgraded wheel hub assembly, thus the lug size is now the same as an f250. It’s m14x1.5 lug size. However f250 wheel lugs are flat, the stock bronco wheels which I am using are beveled. Anyone know which lugs will work for me? Thank you!!

For those who have regeared, did you have to change the computer on your bronco to recognize the new gears? I know most modern 4x4s require this, wondering if it’s even possible to do for a bronco.

Changed the gears in my bronco, is there a way to update the computer with these new gears? Was able to do it with my Jeep a few years ago, I haven’t found anything on Google about being able to do in on the bronco? I have forscan. But I’m willing to get another flash system if I need to.

In other words, if they go through with this, the Wrangler dies in 2028. Jeep also does not make a PHEV version of the 2 door. So the 2 door will be dead as well. F Jeep if they do this, we all know Ford will try to copy them on this too. So if you don’t think this effects you, trust me it will...

When buying take offs, buy local pick up only. Pay cash once you see the wheels in person. Facebook marketplace is good for buying take offs locally.
