  1. Meet Bestop's eTop for Bronco!

Do you have to manually disengage the rear-side window before 'clicking the button'?? I can't imagine there a good seal there without some type of manual seal, but hope I'm wrong!
  2. Love the squared off fenders of the Heritage Edition!

Looks like a toy truck - in a good way!
  3. Bronco Door Storage Box Tray

Copy the link, then paste into browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.). Just clicking the link, which may open the Amazon app, won’t work.
  4. Gas station key fob interference - "Restart Now or Key Is Needed"

Thanks for posting this. I’ve also gotten the same message (“Restart Now or Key is Needed”) two or three times. Might have been at gas stations— not sure?? I’ve always ignored it, and restarted ok. The fob-in-console is something all owners make sure they know.
  5. Looking for a minimalist KEY FOB? We may be in luck.

Definitely In! I've set the alarm off a few times with this big hunk of plastic in my pocket. I'm not wearing skinny jeans, but I do have fat legs ;-)
  6. Bear Opens Badlands Soft Top

Definitely DO NOT leave doors unlocked! Cars get totaled when: (1) bear easily opens door and climbs inside; (2) door closes with bear inside (like when parked on an incline); and (3) bear freaks out and shreds everything. Even without food in the car, these cool bears are curious and will...
  7. Bear Opens Badlands Soft Top

Thanks for posting this, and sorry for your damages. Hopefully you’ll be able to laugh about it sometime soon. I’ll be on the north shore for two months this summer with black Diamond soft top, and I thought about the bear problem. I’m leaning towards: no doors, no plastic windows, locking the...
  8. Windshield crack

My windshield with bad crack is getting replaced for $50 — GEICO insurance deductible, with Safelite doing the replacement. I suggest calling your insurance. Thought I’d have to pay a $500 deductible, and was pleasantly surprised to learn it was only $50 for windshield. Some states don’t allow...
  9. I know Ford had to cut corners to keep costs down…

I look for forward to many scratches and dents — hopefully for years to come.
  10. Crawl Gear: The REAL Hill Start Assist

Yep - I’ve used the crawl gear for steep SF streets. It’s easier on the clutch and my ego... If there’s traffic on a series of steep roads, I might even consider switching to 4L and using the crawler.
  11. 4DR Overland drawer & sleeping platform DIY build

Impressive work! Thanks for all the details in your posts!
  12. California WTB: On board storage bags (4-door) and harness/strap

Hi All, Anyone selling their on board storage bags & harness/strap for 4-door? If so, I'd love to buy and have them shipped to Northern CA (94945). (FYI - for others looking for storage bags, there seems to be plenty of storage bags for sale, but not the harness/strap option for on-board...
  13. Xpel Stealth experience?

Thanks fronc. I wound up passing. The cost was already too much for me, and I liked the look of antimatter blue in its own.
  14. Xpel Stealth experience?

below is the text I received. Possible they wanted my bronco to be a test-run for them?? Mine was also new, off the rail, and didn’t need cleaning or touch up. This is Jim from California detailing at 340 Fell Street, californiadetailing.com sorry for the delay I lost track of your original...
  15. How to get dealer to confirm sale price/sales contract, best way to cancel if not?

Not really an answer to your question, but something to consider: what’s the reputation of your dealer? Search in forums here to see if others have had problems. Just like there are bad/sketchy dealers, there are also good ones too. I had a good experience (no ADM) with Serramonte Ford in CA...
  16. USSV Rhino XT vs. Bronco BD

After seeing the USSV in person, it really makes me appreciate the look and aesthetics of the Bronco even more. While the “batmobile” is eye-catching, I definitely prefer the Bronco brick styling. not to mention prices ranging from $85k-$150K…
  17. 2021 owner redo?

Very happy with my BD, 2.3-MT, Softtop, with hitch. Suites everything I want to do (i.e., mostly fireroads/trails, and drive around without doors & roof). The wife wants heated seats, which would've required mid-package and more money and no MT for mid. I'll eventually add heated seats via...
  18. Xpel Stealth experience?

Bay Area CA quote was: “Bronco Xpel Stealth matte film whole wrap $3600” Since I have an AMB color, I opted not to wrap. Also, 3600 is still a lot of dough, though better than prices I’ve other floating around.
  19. Crawler Gear on Steep Streets (>25% to 35% Grade)?

Thanks for your responses. My summary points from above: (1) Crawler in 2H may be an option (2) Keep practicing in 1st and give more throttle Also worth mentioning: With the electrical e-brake (parking brake), you can use that tool/trick either. And, don't 'ride the clutch'. Example of...
