My worthless 2 cents…from someone who bought something else a year ago…but am sticking around because I still like the vehicle and will probably buy one someday.
I don’t care if it’s a 1000hp vehicle that gets 1000mpg and does everything perfectly. If I got treated the way many of you have...
Sorry, I just looked and mine do have the plate on them, it’s just a black plate (didn’t want any logos on mine).
I still think the rubber is thick enough you shouldn’t have any problems.
…or just spend the $50 more and get the plate ones lol. You’re already paying a stupid amount for flaps...
I have the no plate Gatorbacks on my ZR2. While definitely pricey, they are fantastic. The rubber bottom part flexes as much as it needs to when going over obstacles, but are definitely not blowing around. It’s a thick rubber. And they won’t break at -40 like the molded ones do.
I thought I’d...
The shorter wheelbase 2 door will be worse than a 4 door in the snow/ice. The longer the wheelbase, the easier it is to control in a slide (intentional or accidental). Snow tires and common sense driving with slower driver inputs and it’ll get you where you need to go.
Funny you should say that. It was my favourite interior of all the trucks I test drove and I drove all of them. Simple. Knobs, buttons and switches instead of touch panels. Everything where it needs to be. Nothing that doesn’t need to be there. To each his own though.
I was going to get a Bronco but decided I couldn’t live without a box for hauling firewood, deer, etc. I also couldn’t wait any longer to replace my old Tacoma. I bought a 2021 ZR2.
But I will say it depends on what you’re hauling. Sometimes an SUV with the seats down is better. My son has an...
Good choice. I did the exact same thing. Had been waiting for the Bronco but decided I just couldn’t live without a box for hunting, ice fishing, hauling wood, etc. I would not describe myself as a Chevy person, far from it, my entire family is Ford blue. But I test drove everything from a...
I factory ordered a 2021 ZR2 in July and got it about a month ago. I ordered it with the vinyl/rubber flooring and absolutely love it. So easy to clean up the mud and it’s also great for cleaning up dog hair. I don’t know about the Bronco, but mine has a soft feel to it, there’s definitely some...
I fully planned on a new Taco to replace my old one...test drove a new TRD Pro...didn’t like it at all. Felt weak. Tranny was awful.
Never thought I’d buy a Chev, but I test drove them all, tried to keep an open mind and here we are.
You sound exactly like me. Needed to replace my old Tacoma for a couple years now, initially planned on a Gladiator when it was first announced but it was just not well executed, IMO. Proportions are just all wrong.
Was waiting for the Bronco, but decided I just couldn’t go without a truck bed...
I gave up on waiting for the Bronco and also decided I couldn’t live without a truck bed for hunting, ice fishing, firewood, etc, bought a Chevy Colorado ZR2, have had it for a few weeks now, like it so far. I’ve never been a Chevy guy, far from it. But we test drove everything and it came out...
Wife hated the idea of one since I brought it up a year or so ago. She said an SUV isn’t as good as a truck for hauling stuff. Which translates to “ain’t no way in hell you’re putting dead deer inside an SUV”.
I convincingly started my counterpoint that as soon-to-be empty nesters, we could get...
Reluctantly decided against the Bronco because I just can’t live without a truck box for hunting, ice fishing, etc. Also, my Tacoma needs to be replaced and couldn’t wait for the Bronco to actually arrive. Ordered a 2021 ZR2.
My son graduates college in 2 years and he has his eye on a...
The new Bronco looks amazing. Home run, for the most part, with the exception of the manual not coming with the 2.7.
I was hoping they’d drop a bomb and announce the Bronco pickup at the same time. I think they’ll eventually release one but my old Tacoma won’t last that long. For those that...
I’ve got no problem paying for what I want.
There’s no reason, IMO, to have a vehicle marketed as a utilitarian off road vehicle to be $50,000.
If people want those options, hey, go for it. Maybe that’s what they want. Some of us don’t.
But yeah, this is just me getting PO’d about an...
With the the virus and the economy the way it is, and all the talk about the impact on the car market, I’m hoping car companies get back to basics and sell vehicles that the average person could afford. Tell the marketing idiots to stop telling engineers to come up with complex features for the...
If this is a standard feature, they lost me as a customer. I suspect it’ll be optional.
Adjustable suspensions don’t work very well at -40. Garbage.
2019 Nissan Frontier...reliable, tried, tested, old school, naturally aspirated.
2021 Nissan Frontier...see what the new engine/tranny are like. Probably not worth the risk of a new model to gain 2 mpg and a few gizmos.
2021 Toyota Tacoma. I currently have a 2007. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned...
