My wife’s does this too. Had ford service look at, useless. Hers is 21 badlands lux. Sometimes the backup camera freezes. Get the black screen of death often. Sometimes the screen takes forever to boot up. So many bugs. So disappointing ford can’t figure it out.

So glad I never pulled the trigger on these. Primary reason being the length to receive and lack of communication. Now the fading after a year, with still no communication. Yea not a quality company imo.

Is there a write up or link to removing the console lid to get to the springs to do this? Very clever hack. I just me ford forgot to put springs in there with the way it falls forward so easily.
