haha. I was referring to the cover bolt and it’s aluminum. Not literally glowing red but hot enough to leave a blister on my finger through a nitrile glove. I’m not big on aggressively shifting a trans on a fresh fluid change so prefer the suggested method of torque braking.
Thought I would share some insights after changing my fluid. The videos linked in the thread are helpful but, like most, leave out the most frustrating parts of the job.
I would say it’s worth paying the dealer $500 unless you plan to change fluid frequently. If so install the aftermarket pan...
I have a 2021 with 70k miles and I suspect all of the windows will eventually need to be adjusted as the seals relax and/or the window guides and adjustment bolts loosen. The joy of owning a convertible. I fixed the rear driver side window but now I’m noticing the other windows are much noisier...
This was a pretty easy fix for me. Just needed to adjust the tilt in at the top of the window. There are two bolts for this adjustment that can be accessed from the bottom of the door. I could see that one of the bolts slipped from the initial factory setting. I moved it back and tightened and...
Good luck. I eventually got the dealer to do the repair but had to lobby the Service Manager. Their default answer is “it’s not covered” and they will probably assume you caused it.
I did find a replacement part and it’s working fine. I posted a link and install video on a separate thread…

I was having the same warning in my 2.7. Brakes worked fine but the warning popped up several times. Took it to the dealer and they thought it was a grounding issue. I was using several of the factory grounding points for my accessories. After checking one with a meter it was showing a spotty...
16 AWG wire at 12VDC can handle 10 Amps so that’s not the issue. It’s the socket itself that is melting. Guess I need to invest in a DC-DC converter or a separate socket like the ARB. Pathetic that Ford can’t get a simple thing like that right.
I replaced mine with this and it fixed my problem:

I had to sand a couple of small bumps but it fit otherwise. I recommend getting one that comes with the replacement tool so you can remove the old socket without pulling the entire assembly from the panel. Watch this...
I can confirm that this is an issue for the 12v outlet in the cargo area. I charged an EcoFlow Delta and it stopped working.
I tested the wiring harness for the outlet with a multimeter and got 12v DC but the outlet itself will not power anything. Mine appears to show melting as well...

Both of my 12v outlets no longer work after charging my EcoFlow Delta off of the cargo area 12v DC plug. What wire are you referring to? The EcoFlow charging cable or the wire to the 12v outlet?
I’m having the same issue after charging my EcoFlow Delta off of the cargo area outlet. Now both outlets are bad. Fuses are good. What did the dealer say?
I can also report plugging my EcoFlow Delta into the cargo area 12V DC outlet blew both outlets (cargo and center console) despite claiming to only draw 10A from the car charger input. I checked fuses 32, 33, and 34 and they are all good so it is probably a bad relay.
Anyone else confirm what...
I’ve received multiple updates since posting about the problem and it still hasn’t been fixed. Posted speed limit still disappears from instrument cluster when in an active GPS route in CarPlay (when using Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps, etc.)
Even a signed purchase agreement is no guarantee. I had one and my dealer refused to honor it and threatened to not sell me the Bronco when it arrived. They just want you to cave in so they can mark it up and sell to someone else. I paid their asking price just to secure it then put them on...
That orange ARB line will eventually fail if direct connected to the compressor without a manifold. Ask me how I know. Way too much heat is generated at that coupling.
EDIT: Just saw @4x4TruckLEDs.com post above about the new vs. old ARB hose. I’m one of the unlucky ones with the original hose...
