My rears blew as well, after 18 months of use. Granted I have gone on some adventures, and there has been a bunch of FSR travel at decent speed. They are being replaced under warranty, but I guess I see why there are expensive, fancy suspension upgrades out there. Now to find the budget...
Both my rears recently blew (and I agree with the poster who said they are pretty scary when they do! I've also seen the traction control light come on a lot). I had to go through the vendor, but Eibach have said they will send warranty replacements for both (mine are ~18 months old, so within...
Paired Eibach springs (heavy ones for the rear). I'll reach out - I bought them through a Canadian drop shipper so I have to figure out the warranty process.
Uggghhh. I am on a trip right now and felt the rear end of the Bronco bouncing around today and had a look at my rear driver looks to be leaking oil just like this post. I was wondering if anyone else had had the issue, so this is helpful. Annoying as I replaced my blown stock Badlands...
Yeah exactly. I know i can crank them down but havenāt done it yet. Getting used to it but worried slightly about geometry and everything (rear track bar, etc). So maybe Iāll go down to 2 1/4ā or something from the 3ā Iām at now. Looks great though. Canāt use my 33ā stock wheels cause itāll look...
Well I've ordered the Bluetti one - I'm not sure it'll get here before my trip that starts mid Dec, but I had to try. I like that it is battery pack agnostic - it outputs to solar plugs so I can use my existing Bluetti and other battery packs (though at only 560w instead of the 800w from the...
Just missed the timing on that! I ordered a set and HD rear springs. Ah well.
Overall loving the upgrade (my non-Sas Badlands Bilsteins blew up), and it lifted my 2-door more than I expected at the default setting. Thought about lowering it a bit, but everything seems fine so far.
Before...
Yep that's pretty much everything I've done:
Removed crashbars
New rims (KMC Summit, with +18mm offset)
35" KM3 tires
Eibach stage 2 (with HD rear springs) that ended up giving more lift than expected at stock (prob around 3") - but the wheels and tires fit fine before this part, but it's much...
My 2021 Badlands 2 door rear shocks are shot (the resevoirs appear to still be on - but the ride is terrible and I'm getting a "clunk" out of the right rear). I'd try and warranty them, but I've already ordered the Eibachs with heavy rear springs, so I'm just waiting until those get here.
Well I just ordered the coilovers and rear HD springs as I've got a roof top tent and bike rack on my 2-door so this will be a nice fix to my current squat issues. Looking forward to getting them installed before a 6-week roadtrip this winter.
Mine's around the same size as that - and around 160lbs as well. I've got better mounting plates for it this year (this photo was last year), which will hopefully help as I had to manage squeaky rack/wind noise a little. I need to figure out what the best way for some stiffer rear springs are as...
Thanks for the suggestions - I added a bunch of rubber spacers around the tent as it was resting on the outer rails. But there's something else making noise - so I'll keep investigating. It's quiet if I shake the rack or tent, but when I close the tailgate, it all rattles and squeaks. Wind noise...
It's an unbranded one from a local reseller - looks similar to the ones that come out of the CVT or Roofnest factory. I've got some work to do today as the wind noise and squeaks and creaks are reallllly bad. I should be able to take care of that with some foam or rubber and some pads for the tent.
Just installed the Trailrax (with Pakrax) this weekend and got the RTT on top as well. Setup wasn't bad - the instructions on how to get the front mounts on really helped (even if my flex head ratchet never showed up from Amazon). I've got some wind noise to manage at the moment, but I think I...
I've put my RTT on the OEM rack, and it was ok - though I only felt comfortable putting one person up there. I've now ordered a TrailRax (with PakRax) so we can both go up there.
Just ordered a 2 door with Pax Rax from Modula racks here in Canada. Pretty exited - we've got a wedge RTT that should work better up there than the OEM rack. I'll get a flex head ratchet to help with the install. Wasn't able to get the lightbar cutout that I wanted, but maybe I'll switch it up...
While I love the MGV seats, the fact that the back of the rear seats is still carpet isn't great for dog hair, especially Gary's which really gets stuck and even a vacuum won't get it out. Ah well - he has fun in there.
Got 4 of 5 installed - KMC Summit wheels (+16 offset) with 35x12.50 BFG KM3 tires. One rim arrived with a big ding, so waiting for a replacement to do the spare. No rubbing at all right now, but haven't tested on the trail yet - I've got a Zone 2" lift to install still, so that will help a bit...
