I would get a Jeep before I went to the LR. I like the look and idea of a LR but not the price or their track record on quality/reliability. Not to mention it costing a leg/arm to repair out of warranty.

I don't think the new Bronco will be a step down in quality vs an older Toyota but I do think you will give up some reliability just because of added complexity, tech, power, etc...on the newer Bronco. The old Toyota 4.0L/5spd in the FJ's and 4runner's are relatively simple, have been around...
