Yep, this was our experience exactly. The way the outer square tubes fit so tightly into the center Y-joint, I decided it was better to actually unlatch on of the side tubes from the center, then pull it out about a half Inch to allow the side bracket to line up and the pin inserted. Agreed. The balance would be much better if the rear mounting point was somehow right at the back corner of the top. The issue is that all the weight of the top seems to be in the rear glass.

Another problem was with the rear mounting points, the two-prong end of the Y-bar. You're supposed to put each rear bar into the joint, with the push-pins popping up through the joint piece. Then, once the the bracket assembly on the top, you're supposed to slide the side end pieces into the...
