I originally mounted my 1/4 wave dual band VHF/UHF antenna at the a-pillar driver side but I couldn’t get SWR below 3 so I moved to a rear mount and SWR dropped to 1.5. I switched to a 5/8 wave VHF antenna and SWR was 1 at the rear.
