  1. Alignment pin stuck in MIC HT

Honestly, I'd take that to the dealer and let them deal with it. It's already given you a fight so I'd let them take the chance of scratching the top or busting the glass.
  2. Rats! In the engine bay (not a horror movie title).

I run marketing for a company that makes rodent and pest exclusion products. In the course of our product development we've consulted with multiple rodentologists and done a bunch of our own testing and as @carreatime discovered, repellants are for the most part ineffective. Some may have a...
  3. Disappointed, not one full size in 600 miles

In my neck of the woods (Kane County, IL) I've only seen one. It was street parked in Geneva. I didn't catch the model but it was Cyber Orange with the top off and dealer plates. The only other one I've seen was this weekend in FL. I happened to be at the Mucky Duck on Captiva and a guy rolled...
  4. Just watched a YT ad for Audibles app that used closed captioning

I've not seen the ad in question but do see the irony in it. Speaking as someone that does digital marketing and ecommerce for a living, we always assume that most of the people that see our ads or product videos will have the sound muted so we design everything to make sense whether you can...
  5. 6/25 Email & FAQ: Modular Hardtops Delayed Until 2023MY | Price Protection Extension | Free Hardtop Prep Kit

Is your order 99'd? I didn't get any version of this email either but I've been 99'd waiting for the '22 since the last top fiasco email went out.
  6. Personality, Cars, and the Bronco

Says I'm a Defender...Does that mean they think I'm buying the wrong vehicle:unsure:
  7. Soft top vs MIC vs Dual

I run dual tops on my JKU. I run the hard top in the winter and soft spring through fall. I've got the premium twill soft top and headliners in the hard top and there is considerably more road noise with the soft top. I can deal with the extra noise because when the weather's nice I can flip...
  8. Will this new Ford Bronco be your first Bronco?

This will be my 3rd. #2 is in my garage (barely....got about 1/2" to spare on a 7' high garage) and also my profile pic. New one will park next to it.
  9. Why is it that ...

Right there with you. My IS350 is in right now. Left rear wheel bearing is shot, right side is on the way out and the right rear caliper pin is frozen so I get to do a bonus brake job. The wallet is now $1,900 lighter. On the bright side, in the 9 years and 165,000 miles that I've owned it it...
  10. What's your OBX builds look like?

We went: AMB 4 door 2.3 auto Navy Pier cloth Lux MIC dual top
  11. 2021 Bronco on 33's vs 90's Full Size Bronco on 37's and lift

I think there may be a bit of perspective at play in that photo. The '79 in my profile pic is lifted on 36s and sits about 83.5". I imagine a lifted 90's on 37s is also in that ballpark. Last a saw the Wildtrack sits about 75" and a Badlands about 74" - not small but not as close as it looks in...
  12. Ordering Update - Granger Ford 1-25

OT but likely applicable to to many of us in this thread. The good folks that run the city of Le Claire, IA have put up speed cameras on I-80. They're just over the bridge if you're headed west but they will get you going in either direction I just got the notice that my son was nabbed by it...
  13. 2 door fastback top DOES fold back! Lightning Blue First Edition Bronco With Graphics

Assuming this works like the top on my JKU (also made by Bestop) then whoever folded that top back did it wrong. When the top was opened they should have pushed that droopy section back under the header bar so that the fold was to the back. That way all that fabric lays flat on the back of the...
  14. How often do birds poop in your open roof vehicle?

5+ years with a JKU and its never happened. The cottonwoods on the other hand, those are a PITA.
  15. Bronco Soft Top how-to video -- folding, removing and window removal

If I don't want to take them with me, which is most of the time, I use a couple of these and hang them flat against the wall in the garage. If I want to take them with me, I just roll them up in a couple of old beach towels.
  16. Your first Bronco, or repeat offender?

This will be my 3rd. Had a baby blue '79 from the late 80s to early 90s. This is my current '79 - It's an older photo from the day it was delivered. The hard top is in storage and I'm running a Softopper soft top these days.
