I need help identifying the source of the noise that my steering rack, presumably, just started making.

Two days in a row now I've tried to leave u driveway and my steering is literally frozen. It is in the teens so I know it's cold but this shouldn't happen!! I had to warm up my vehicle for almost an hour to get movement.. thoughts?
