I've had this issue since day-one with my '22 Black Diamond. It's very frustrating, and very dangerous. I submitted a NHTSA report yesterday.
I've owned/driven cars for 35 years in Buffalo, NY where we get plenty of wet and frozen precipitation and I've never had to replace a wiper motor...
Tear tag popped-up this afternoon. I learned from Ford chat that I'm still listed as 'In Production', but there are no holds attached to my order. They show delivery to my dealer as 11/17-11/23 (but my dealer is only 25 miles from MAP, so it should be a same-day delivery).
I guess I'll check...
11/10 Blend, 496/704. Dealer had no Ford update as of yesterday morning.
My BCE modules populated overnight, and my Ford Status changed to 'In Production- 11/14'. No tear tag.
Blend date of 11/10, 496/704. No modules yet. Hopefully they update overnight.
My dealership is 25 miles from MAP. It would be nice if I could pick it up next weekend!
60 deliveries from January 2022 through August 2022 = 7.5 deliveries per month. 90 allocations for 2023 = 7.5 per month. No increase.
When the last Chapman list was posted in February, I was at number 75. At 7.5 deliveries per month, there have been 53 Chapman deliveries since that February...
If I'm reading this correctly- Ford can produce 39% of demand for hardtops, but less than half of that production is going to be used on 2-doors (14%).
Why?
The 4-door has an alternate option for the hardtop. The 2-door has no other option. Wouldn't it make more sense to shift more hardtops...
Another successful reservation transfer. Within minutes of getting off the phone with Ford, Tom and his crew were already in contact with me, and my order has been placed without issue.
FYI for clarification: They are not accepting transfers at invoice pricing. Even ‘old’ reservations will be at MSRP.
I just tried to transfer my 07/19 reservation, and was quoted MSRP.
