I am not trying to add fuel to a fire, but I tried telling the forum members going to smaller dealers that this was going to happen. I was laughed at.....I was messaged privately and told I was an idiot. I tried explaining that I was intimately aware of the allocation system. I was...
And this thread is the exact problem with a smaller dealer taking tons of reservations. They will not have allocation! I live outside of Detroit. Outside of Galpin in California, we have the largest Ford stores in the country. Allocation is based on so many other things, regardless of...
Also be careful of all the “add ons.” These will delay your order. They are subcontracted to what is called a body vendor. All of these will add time to the order, possibly delaying weeks, if not months. Dealer installed options are one thing, but body vendor is a whole new issue.
I watched this happen with Hellcat orders. I am screaming this!!!! These small dealers, regardless of reservations, will NOT receive the allocations needed. Just because a dealer has reservations does not mean they will be able to fulfill the demand from customers. I can foresee a complete...
This is the exact problem that I feared. Dealers taking deposits and small dealers promising a "spot," without knowing their allocation. Realistically, some of these Bronco reservations will turn out to be 2023MY because of dealers directing people to them.
It would normally be based upon supplier constraints. If ABC company knows it can only produce 10,000 beadlock rims, Ford will know that the demand outpaces it. So there will be a percentage mix that will take place. Meaning out of 100 Broncos, 30 will be allowed to have beadlock, 30 with...
The problem with what he is telling you is the equipment. Essentially the system will comb for orders based upon availability of parts. It will fill those orders that have the correct supply chain in place. It will then continue to search for the oldest orders with parts available. If it is...
I am not sure what number I am in line. I reserved a 2 door the next morning after the site kept crashing. The dealer told me they had about 200 total reservationss. Now my next issue is what equipment....and making sure I can fit. I am 6 7, cannot fit in a Wrangler comfortably for more than...
Not necessarily. You can be number one, however if your options are constrained, the person with number 100 may receive theirs first. Also, if if you are number 10, but the dealer only received 6 allocations, you will sit as well. I am intimately aware of how the allocation systems work.
It doesn't matter what number you are at a dealership. The type of Bronco and options, combined with the actual number of Bronco's that dealer will receive determines when someone will obtain their new Bronco. I am actually kind of surprised some smaller dealers encouraged more reservations...
