If the 2.7 EcoBoost or heck even the 2.3 EcoBoost came with some sort of hybrid motor giving it more power and more torque? Give me that one; similar to the F-150.

100% think they should. See what Koenigsegg did with their unveiling after Geneva was cancelled; you can't tell me that didn't generate hype. I don't know why they aren't going to do it... OR... if Ford is "delaying" the launch so they can....

It looks like the bronco is going away with the fender flairs (like the jeep has) and going for a wider body. I like it!

This might have been addressed but there are 17 pages to go through LOL. From these photos can we tell if this is going to be an all digital instrument cluster or if it looks analog? I saw spy shots from the new F150 which look all digital, but can't seem to tell from the views here...

I get why they are trying to hide the roof on the "Big Boy" Bronco but is there a reason this roof looks like they are trying to hide something still? Looking at the dealer images it looks way more rounded than these and all the spy shots of his vehicle...... ... or my eyes could be playing...

I think you're dead on here. I'm sure whatever they come out with this year will be a start. It will be interesting though how they play with the gross vehicle weight with off roading capability... or will they leave the two completely separate... we will find out soon!

I'm with you... totally. I think though that having a PHEV will open the market to more people who wanted that look but were hesitant because of mileage. Any new vehicle almost feels "behind the times" if it just comes only as "gas-only". I would speculate 20mi would be about right, but knowing...

Mid 20's is still a win. I think to compete with Jeep they need to get over 30mi. I am curious to know if they will offer it in the full size Bronco or the Baby Bronco (Maverick?)... or both? My eye isn't off that car either... I am putting 35" BFG KO2s on either one anyway :)

I really think they can push a lot of power out of a PHEV. For example the new Rav4 Prime pumps out 302hp which is almost 100hp more than the standard Rav4 and pushes the car 0-60 over 1.5sec faster than the standard hybrid. It's a win-win all around - more power, more efficient. I sure hope...

I agree... it only makes sense. All the latest leaks are showing engine options but not a lot has been reported on the hybrid variation. In one of their spy shots there was a strange bulge below the driver side mirror... I wonder if that would be Ford trying to cover the charging port?

Any idea if the Bronco will have a Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) variant coming? We know the confirmed Hybrid is coming, but no further details other than there will be. It would be an interesting play to take on the Wrangler announced at CES this year, and push Ford as a company further into this EV space.
