Ford can't even produce a code to show that it was operators error when our transmissions blew after flat towing it, however they certainly had no problem not warranty it.
Please keep all on this forum advised what Ford ends up doing for you. Many of us have been given the middle finger when it comes to Ford and this neutral tow issue.
The problem is they refuse to show you that it was your fault, they refuse to show you what the black box read out says. Ford stands behind what the dealership says, and not all dealerships are created equal. Unfortunately we broke down in middle of nowhere and had to deal with the worst...
Our experience with Ford customer service is they stuck to a script and really offered no assistance. Once the dealer determines you were flat towing they will do what they can to not warranty it, and Ford will tell you its the dealers call and the dealer will tell you its Ford's call. We...
Unfortunately, Ford is going to fight you if they determine that you were towing the vehicle. According to one of the posters on this thread who spoke to my husband, Ford is aware there is an issue but they are not warrantying it and blaming it on consumer. We will never flat tow this vehicle...
Did the dealership give you any reason why they wanted you to tow it on a trailer? I mean honestly for them to tell you that you need to trailer it screams "we know that there is an issue with flat towing the Bronco" don't you agree?
Be prepared to very frustrated. The dealership will point fingers to Ford and Ford will point fingers to the dealership. We had a very similar incident. We were traveling cross country and had flat towed our Bronco at least 10 times with no issue. We followed the instructions to a tee...
I would prefer to talk about this on e-mail versus this forum. My e-mail address is [email protected]. Ford has eyes on this forum. I don't trust Ford after this fiasco.
We feel the same way, we only purchased because it could be flat towed, flat towed it about 10 times, and then had this...
I am sorry to hear that this has happened to you. We had the exact same thing occur and after 6 weeks of the dealership blowing us off, and FORD refusing to acknowledge us, our insurance ended up covering it. This is a KNOWN issue with Ford. We followed the directions in the owners manual ...
Ford customer service is horrible. The dealership is following some memo and they are refusing to warranty our transmission even though they cannot provide me with anything stating the vehicle was not in flat tow neutral. Dealer won't return calls and customer service will only send e-mails...
We also are experiencing this. We followed the directions to a tee. I think Ford has a flat tow issue and isn't being honest about it. Our fear is we replace the transmission what's to stop it from doing the same thing again?
My husband and I are experiencing the same thing almost to a tee with what you described. Followed Neutral Tow instructions and have flat towed many times. Now Ford is saying they will not warranty transmission.
