  1. Full Tank Range?

I've run on "Zero to empty" twice, to bone-dry empty (carrying 2-gallon fuel can and making sure I could coast off-road). I got 21 miles the first time, 30 miles the 2nd. I'll push "Empty," a little, but not past 18 miles. If you run out of gas, empty, coast carefully to the side and off the...
  2. Replacement windshield wipers recommendations?

General question to all: when did you need to replace them--at what point of ownership (months) or mileage? My left one started streaking at six months & 14,000 miles--disappointing. I've bought Bosch Icon blades, which seem to have a high rating, but haven't installed them yet. I'll keep the...
  3. Replacement windshield wipers recommendations?

At what time(date)/mileage are you replacing them? My left started streaking at 14,000 miles and six months, which disappointed me. I have Bosch Icon blades purchased, but haven't installed them yet.
  4. Will a 25 % down payment depoist help out for ADM

Dealers make money in three categories: 1) Pure profit. The more expensive (consider trim levels and options) the vehicle, the more profit. 2) Trade in. The less they give you for that, the more they can get when they sell it or send it to auction. 3) Financing. Let them think they'll make...
  5. Paid for on-the-lot 2022 Bronco

This is a cut-and-paste post of my experience, from another Bronco6G thread, just this morning. Hope it helps: "Orders are cancelled for all sorts of individual reasons. Could be change in financial or family situations. I got razzed because I was considering flipping one. I ordered a...
  6. What's in the Bronco tool kit?

The other site has a neat thread about essential Bronco "tool roll." https://thebronconation.com/bronco-how-to-n.141/bronco-tool-list-if-youre-building-out-a-tool-roll-this-list-is-for-you-t.16656/#post-240538
  7. Broncos on BAT (Bring a Trailer)

Not necessarily. Orders are cancelled for all sorts of individual reasons. Could be change in financial or family situations. I got razzed because I was considering flipping one. I ordered a Badlands/High/nonSas in November in 2021, and was willing to simply wait. Then 1) I turned 75, and got...
  8. So this is interesting and concerning all in one... my Bronco is sitting at railyard due to a "transmission issue".

If the dealer is being thorough and honest, he might be un-informed about the real issue(s). Pressure him to tell you exactly when the Bronco will be transported, and be there for its arrival. Watch it get unloaded, to check for exterior damage, then insist that their top tech look it over, with...
  9. Bronco vs Blazer: What Could Have Been

    Blazer wins with more cupholders.
  10. Winter Snow Wheeling with my 5" Inch Lift Badlands Bronco (pics + video)

Good father-son time, and good for you having him help with the recovery line. Also: nicely shot and edited video.
  11. Lincoln model on same platform

Put that thing on showroom floors, and I promise you, Matt's Off-Road Recovery will be setting up franchises all over the continent. (Pretty good Photoshop. Your own?)
  12. Bronco vs Blazer: What Could Have Been

My loyalty switched from GM to Ford during the economic downturn of 2008 (and subsequent), when Chrysler was sold (given, actually) to Fiat and GM took every nickel the government threw at them.
  13. Lincoln model on same platform

The luxury market has its place. I admit I was being sardonic in my last two posts, but heck, my last ride was a Toyota Sienna AWD XLE Limited with so many features it would have been a Lexus if Toyota Corp put that mark on a minivan. It's just that I'm kind of jealous of the Bronco mark. I...
  14. Lincoln model on same platform

Idealized by trust fund SoyBoys everywhere, often parked by Mom's basement bedroom staircase.
  15. Lincoln model on same platform

Lengthen the chassis, put in captains' chairs for the 2nd row, plus a 3rd row of seats (Thanks, Gabby, above), gussy it up with power everything (including rear lift gate), and media screens everywhere so the kids aren't bored while they are comfortably whisked from scenic vista to scenic vista...
  16. Bronco Gets Stuck In Sand and Recovered

I'll guess he didn't air down. Seems we all agree on that. Looks like he didn't lock his front. What model was that?
  17. Solar Eclipse 10/14 through TX, NM, UT, NV, OR - Trip?

Looks like it will cross US-50 in Utah, "The World's Loneliest Highway," around Snake Valley and the Confusion Mountains. Wonderfully desolate area, way off the beaten track--lots of off-roading and crosscountry treking there. Tempting! (Bring extra gas, water, supplies, and full recovery gear.)
