Iāve been lazy and havenāt mounted the spare so the pictures still show the stock KO2ās š
However when I was working in this upgrade I did some research to that point and hereās a snippet from this pdf...
@Mattwings Im not running any spacers. I instead went with a 35x11.5 as the stock 285 is approx 11.5ā wide, whereas a 315 is closer to 12.5ā wide.
@DaddyMuffin I bought my bronco used last February from Durango Motor Company and the previous owner had put a level kit on it already, though...
Great point, thanks for pointing that out! I havenāt gotten to it yet, planning to do that soon. Iām always thinking of my speedometer not being accurate anymore, but forget it also affects how the computer reports gas mileage.
Iāve read a lot of mixed reviews too on the Ridge Grapplers, especially where snow is concerned. Some people say theyāre great in deep snow just not ice, others say theyāre just awful in snow. Down in Colorado Springs when we do get snowstorms itās usually much less then up in the mountains and...
Iāve been super impressed with the Gobi rack! Itās super solid, mounts to the frame so itās not stressing roof or rear quarter panels and itās just a beefy unit. I went with it because of its 800 lb static load rating and the fact I can still use my soft top with it on. The wind noise is bad at...

The noise isnāt terrible, or Iām just deaf now from road tripping the soft top over the last year, but I havenāt ever run the rack without it so I canāt say how much of a difference it makes.
Iāve seen people talk about this topic a few times but never found an off-road report, so hereās mine!
I just upgraded to 35x11.5 r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my non-was manual Badlands with a 1ā level and stock rims.
ON ROAD:
These feel great on road; even though theyāre a load range E tire...
Iām new to real off-roading (coming from an old rwd ranger) so Iām looking for advice. I have a badlands 4dr non-squatch, it has the 2.3l with a manual transmission. I love off-roading it and want to build it into an overland/ adventure rig so a bit of rock crawling, a lot of trails in the...
