  1. Spotted a Bronco Raptor / Warthog prototype?

I’d easily wait another year for the V8. As long as it came with a stick. Otherwise I’ll shamelessly stick with the 2.3L
  2. Ford should make a mini Godzilla engine

Wait but this year is 2020 right? Correct me if I’m wrong but does GM not make a 327 cubic inch pushrod v8 engine that puts out over 350 hp? And I think you can go down the road and buy that engine brand new today!!! Just a guess and I don’t want to give Ford too much credit here but I’m...
  3. Ford should make a mini Godzilla engine

A smaller pushrod v8 would solve all the packaging issues people claim there is with the Coyote engine. It should fit easily in the bronco/ranger frame. Would buy that engine in a heartbeat. Unfortunately those DOHC engines just take up so much space and are fairly heavy.
  4. 2.7L w/ manual trans (is Ford listening?)

I plan on waiting for the 2022 MY at this point but still keeping my badlands reservation just in case they do put the manual with the 2.7 However, when they release the redesign for the next gen ranger in 22 and IF they let you pair the manual in that truck. I might reconsider the bronco for...
  5. Next gen 2022 F-150 Raptor first video. With V8?

https://www.thedrive.com/news/35722/it-sure-sounds-like-a-v8-in-this-2021-ford-f-150-raptor-prototype Ford’s possible response to the Ram TRX. If Jeep does actually end up putting a V8 into the Wrangler/Gladiator, perhaps it will force Ford’s hand to put one in the Bronco in the next couple...
  6. Is this partly why the Manual is not available for the 2.7L Engine?

This right here. 6 years ago back I lived with a roommate she had a 14 Focus Auto and I had the same model year manual ST. I never had a single mechanical issue with my ST and her Dual Clutch powershift transmission caused her all sorts of problems. That thing was in the shop for WEEKS at a...
  7. Ford Update: Bronco Build & Price coming in **SEPTEMBER** with ordering in December

If they try to inflate prices just because initial demand is so high, Ford will have lost a customer for at least a year or so until prices go down. Bad idea. If they want to go for Jeep’s jugular then prices need to be competitive
  8. What's with the manual trans hype?

I don't understand why so many folks come into the manual forum complaining that we should all be driving automatics. I don't see any manual enthusiasts going into forums claiming everyone should be driving a manual instead of an automatic. Some people want a manual for some very legitimate...
  9. Thoughts on waiting for a 2022 Bronco

After the cryptic Q&A sesh today I am now Firmly in the waiting till 2022 camp. I still fully intend on buying a Badlands model with a manual. However, I’ll be waiting to see if there are any powertrain changes and if the manual will mate up to anything else besides the 2.3.
  10. No manual with 2.7L in 2021

If you go on a Borla's website for instance they have some exhausts for the Ranger but it just does not sound good. That's not where I would put my money into this car. Still sounds like a fart can. Only so much those aftermarket companies can do when you are missing 4 cylinders.
  11. No manual with 2.7L in 2021

Damn you really got me.. just found out today 27 is old.
  12. No manual with 2.7L in 2021

I'll fully admit I don't care to have the V8 for performance. I think in 90% of situations the 2.7L will outperform the Coyote any day. However, I bet the V8 will last longer than the turbo'd engines will. Which is what I really care about. I also know, having put a few miles on the new...
  13. Virginia Check In! / Which Dealer?

I'm in Hampton Roads with a 4 door badlands reservation. Mine is with Beach Ford. Sounds like some of you may have had better luck than me communicating with Beach Ford than me. Last I heard they were charging MSRP and were unsure of accepting the X-Plan as of Friday last week. However...
  14. 2.3 EcoBoost vs 2.7 EcoBoost - Poll

I'm like you and I have no doubt the 2.3L can power any trim of this awesome beast. I just find it slightly hard to stomach dropping 50k on a performance vehicle with a 4 cylinder. I have to have the manual because I enjoy driving them. I think Ford thought a lot about their enthusiasts here...
  15. Howdy from Virginia

Hello. Hampton Roads area here. I too am ready to kick my Jeep to the curb and welcome in some 21st century suspension technology.
  16. No manual with 2.7L in 2021

I don't disagree. That would be the perfect world. However, I'd be more than satisfied with the manual paired with the 2.7L. But like I said I can't pay 45k for badlands and be happy driving home with a 4 pot. As weird as that may seem to some people. I would pay an extra 5-10k for V8 and...
  17. No manual with 2.7L in 2021

That would be the worst case scenario. As an enthusiast the manual is a absolute must have. I just find it difficult to drop 45k plus on a 4 cylinder anything no matter what the vehicle type is. i realize that the 2.3L is capable as it can tow 7k pounds in the ranger. It just seems...
  18. No manual with 2.7L in 2021

Unfortunate. Definitely will keep me out of 2021 to see what happens. Seems like Ford has plenty of reservations to keep them busy for the 2021 MY anyways. Hard to give up the 2 extra cylinders and lack of port injection/cgi block with the 2.7L. Maybe we’ll see a change in the manual...
