Couldn’t agree more, CF on Bronco is appearance, zero benefit other than liking the looks. If that’s a plus and budget handles, then enjoy. I haven’t added any yet… pretty pricy for appearance, but eventually.

Without a doubt, the Bronco is widely accepted the majority of Bronco’s are street vehicles. The majority of Owners don’t even know about this web site. Although, off road has multiple definitions… on this forum it’s seems to be the pleasure rock climbers, wooded narrow trials or dunes primarily.

Little different usage; where’s it fit in the categories above. Midwest Owner… it’s a pleasure and work vehicle. Pretty much the way we used large quads… the BRaptor filled that role plus a super ride on highway and the enjoyment of a noticed vehicle. Not much on recreation yet… but Pastures, Fields, Cattle, hauling fence building material, water tanks… some hills, creeks, rocky paths, etc are well beyond a Super Duty 24 ft Truck… some trails challenges on horseback! Can’t tell ya best PSI for trails or rocks, although we have our settings for working terrain too.

Adding Extras like Ditch lights and Ft Bar… can’t tell ya best for adventuresome trails; but for cattle trails and heavy brush a Yellow Light helps with terrain, gullies and spotting a angus calf in tall brush at 2am where a white light would bleach and ruin the contrast.

Like my Trucks… primarily a road rig, but we work’em too and have fun while working the BRaptor.

I‘m looking forward to dressing the BRaptor up with a bit of CF down the road… and still worked. Although not the CF fenders!

That's great information and very surprising... I would have assumed the CF would have reduced weight 20-25%. I'd agree, the glossy CF on a large top looks amazing! As you said, price is it's only negative. I'd also assume the noise may have decreased... don't know why I'd assume that but I did.

Curious, after the wreck, you indicated your couldn't get a MIC OEM Top... was there a shortage or design change delay? I'm just thinking of all the regular non-enthusiast Owners that have accidents, they wouldn't know where to begin to find alternatives.

On the CF Hood... for lift struts. Could you place a piece of strap metal to reinforce the flex at the strut... would probably need to adhere it since you wouldn't want to tap & screw into CF.
Pulling down on hinge an extra 1/8", raising corner bumper stop a 1/2 turn... would that help the high speed flex in CF leading edge?
From what I recall, there was a huge shortage of MIC tops at the time and there was no ETA on when they would be available. Also, it was something like $8000 even if it was available. It made choosing the carbon top a little easier.

The hood struts actually attach to the metal hinge plate and not to the hood itself. There’s still a lot of flex in the hinge/hood connection (and the hood in general)regardless of the struts. Adjusting the corner bumpers just makes it flex more, but doesn’t really cure the high speed flutter.

Another thing I had forgotten: we had to change the main metal latch ring on the hood from a Raptor version to a standard version, but I don’t remember why. The body guys told me about it, but I never did see the two pieces side by side to compare and determine why.
