So, Wednesday afternoon, the glass company finally called me about my plexiglass order, so I went to pick it up. Looking at both 1/8" and 1/4" thick pieces in person, I already knew I was going to use the 1/8" piece! Yesterday, after work, I prepped/painted the new plexiglass piece, but forgot to take a pic, as I was running out of daylight....

But, I slowly removed the old plexiglass with the old grille letters still installed.

Removing the old front camera piece was more of a PITA than I remembered it was? But, I got it out as well as the old wiring/washer line for it and cleaned the area for the new single piece!

I used 2 strips of good 3M doubled-sided tape on the backside of the plexiglass (the painted side) and attached it to the grille. After doing so, I noticed that I had slightly dropped it down, so it wasn't in line with my parking light covers, but after it was all finished, it's pretty difficult to tell?

I pulled off the protective blue plastic and measured the wife's HEL letters to get an idea for spacing. HEL grille letters are exactly 2" apart from each other and a total of 21" from the F to the D.

My letters are slightly different, but I started in the center of the grille and worked outwards. 1-1/16th out left/right of the grille for the O and R, with the total gap being 2-1/8", as are the other letter gaps and I believe the total length from F to D was 21.25"?

It looks a lot better to me with the red/silver lettering, over the almost 3 year old EG/silver lettering, as well as the letters being closer together This is why you do not listen to what other people tell you not to do...

While I was at it, I had some Gloss White Vivid Vinyl Wrap, from something I did on my Mustang, so I did this real quick, not pretty, but I wanted to see how it looked. I've always wanted to cover up these lights to match the White grille!

It would probably look better if I bought a nicer IAG grille and painted the outer edge EG, then painted the lights EG as well. Painting parts and my luck doing so have always failed, that's why I haven't messed with it... Plus, since we do occasional go offroading, the grille does get scratched up some, which probably isn't feasible painting it for that reason alone...
