Replace those plastic bumpers with some nice steel ones designed to slide off rocks, next time they will just ease under only scraping the paint.
Been wanting to do this anyway just don’t like the looks of most of the metal bumpers tbh

When I got rear-ended (LR Freelander) I called my insurance and did everything through them. They organized the repairs, provided a rental car and sent the final bill to the other insurance company.

None of this cost me anything.
125%, have your insurance do everything. Have them subrogate with the dead beats insurance. Don’t even talk to the other persons insurance company.

Luckily I pay for really good insurance... Not to sound like a snob or anything but my mom also works for a really well known law firm and is putting me in touch with a lawyer who specializes in collision stuff.
Sweet, yet you can't get a rental car covered? 😂 Joking aside, glad no one was seriously injured.

Just have your insurance company fix your Bronco and pay for expenses and go after the other person's insurance to recoop costs. That is what you pay them for.

Finally got the estimate back from a Ford collision shop by me. Luckily I don’t think my Bronco is totaled! Shop guy said it will probably be there for 4 weeks at the earliest waiting for parts and stuff but I’m just happy that it looks like I’ll have it back. 🤞🏼

They definitely went underneath for sure. My rear tow hook is pointing straight down almost. Exhaust looks messed pretty bad too.

I spoke with the insurance agent and she said that due to the crappy insurance the at fault driver had that my Bronco will likely be totaled… Luckily I pay for really good insurance so I should be alright financially. Not to sound like a snob or anything but my mom also works for a really well known law firm and is putting me in touch with a lawyer who specializes in collision stuff. I’m hopeful things will be sorted out and am thankful no one was injured!

I appreciate all of the kind words and information!
No No, the agent doesn't determine anything. And if his insurance isn't enough to cover the damages, your insurance picks up the diff. His lack of ins determines nothing. Get the attorney involved if you want, but I just did my own case a year ago. You can always do a buy back and self repair if it makes sense. You can come out ahead sometimes on those, just depends. Good luck!
