I'm trying to figure out if the beefier Raptor hinge and plate can accept a molle bracket directly or if I need to bolt on a plate like the one offered from Hammer Built. It seems like the 2 holes marked for accessories on the Raptor hinge outer skin provide M6 threads, but those are not heavy duty enough to hang a RotoPax or Jerry can weight from. I'm sure several people have installed a mount for this on their Raptor. It would be great to get your input. It looks like the center hole on the Raptor hinge that has the M6 threads could be tapped to a M8/M10 to handle more weight.

I used the 2 bolts closest to the spare tire. If you mount the rack closer to the outside the rotopax hit the tail light sooner. The mount is from turn off road

Yes. I’ve seen that mount from TOR. Wasn’t sure it would fit on those main hinge bolts closer to the spare and still clear 37” tire. Did you put any kind of bushing between the TOR bracket mounting surface and the plastic cover that covers the hinges?

Also, is that a 2 gallon RotoLax? Looks like it’s flush against the hinges cover?

No, nothing between the bolts and plastic. I’m sure that I could put a bushing to protect the plastic. Yes, the 2 gallon gen 2 rotopax. It sits very flush. I think if I had a true 37’’ tire there would be some adjustments to get everything to fit. I did add the tor tailgate limiter( cheap $20 one) or this setup would definitely hit the tail light.

I changed mine out to a Hammerbuilt plate and can run a 3 gal no problem. I run a MTM swing gate arm set to not bash my taillight. Only real issue is its maxed out on a true 37 anything bigger and you will have issues no matter what.

So you purchased the Raptor version of the baseplate that works with the Raptor hinges and the mounting bracket that attached to that?

question: Does your tailgate still open at least 90degrees with this bracket and limiter installed?

yes plus this plate is more rigid for a heavier spare.

Yes just to 90. Any further and it would hit the taillight. I also have the broaddict slide out cargo tray, it slides out just fine.
