Dual kayak J-hook carrier that works with the EZ4x4 rack?

Hey all! Curious if anyone's come up with a way to use J-mount kayak carriers on their bronco with the EZ4x4 rear rack? This is what I'm picturing (sorry for the crude sketch). I'd need to mount 2 kayaks:

So what I had in mind, is clamping the rear J-mounts directly to the ez4x4 rack (this style of J-mount that just clamps to an existing rack):

And then using that same type of J-mount to mount to a custom mini-rack system I could put on the front of the bronco's roof's accessory points. I'd just use some 80/20 railing to attach to a little handle I could make out of a plate and a bent rod. (Yes, I'm talking about fabricating my own gear, put your wallets away!) Here's another crude illustration:

The red would be the parts I make to mount to the bronco, the blue would be the clamp, and the teal would be the 80/20 rail. The illustration doesn't show it, but I'd make the 80/20 rail as level with the roof as I can - whether that's by bending the bar in a better way or by using leveling bolts with the 'blue' clamp.

Am I overthinking this? Any feedback or ideas or something that's been done already for this roof rack to carry two kayaks? I'd of course tie down the bow and stern of the kayaks to the hood and trailer hitch respectively while I'm carrying them. Would use ratchet straps for everything except the bow/hood which I'll use rope so as to not add new blind spots to my line of sight.

Looking at primarily 9-foot 10-foot kayaks currently and I'm not sure that this mounting solution will actually work for something that short... We'll see I suppose. Still open to feedback/ideas though!

New approach! My girlfriend and I are gonna invest a little more into the kayaks and the ones we're gonna get are flatter, so we could stack them on top of each other with foam blocks in between. So I'll probably eliminate the J hooks altogether and "lash" the kayaks to the rack. I'll still make that front mount for above the windshield though.
