If you own a bronco that didn't come with fog lights like a base or BB, chances are you probably want them. One of the most stressful parts of the fog lights install is drilling the plastic inserts if you have a bronco with a non capable bumper. So I did it and documented my process so you don't have to.

Here are the tools you need(OR NOT): The blue thing is a pipe deburring pen

Keep in mind you need a shop radio playing country or rock or the job isn't done right.

Step 1. Put the bumper cover over the fog lights like normal, it should fit and snap in even with the fog lights under it.

Step 2. Grab your sharpie ballpoint tip marker, silver or gold is best, any color works.

Step 3. Turn the steering wheel to point the wheels into the wheel well your working in. It makes it a lot easier and your head won't have a raccoon color from the tire. The wheel is gonna be hard to turn because the P/S pump ins't being pressured. GET TOUGH!

Step 4. Get a comfy thing to sit on. Get down in the wheel well. This is what you will see on the bottom towards the front of the car in the gap of the wheel well fabric.

I've got my trouble light posted up on the right. It's super bright and doesn't constantly need batteries, I love it.

Step 5. Grab your ball point sharpie, stick it in the gap and push towards the front and point the tip towards the round light bezel. You should feel the slightly textured bumper insert through the marker, and the slight curve of the fog light bezel. Then run the marker back and fourth

Step 6. Pull the insert back off, this is what you should see.

That line near my thumbnail furthest down the plastic is what your looking for, notice the great curves and how it isn't jagged. This is your bezel offset mark. It will help you line up your 3.5 inch cup drill. But it isn't the exact place the hole should be.

Step 7. Find the hole on the bumper and measure the distance to the edge of the fog light. Then measure from the "post" on the insert to where the fog light hole should go. Use your sharpie line. It WILL help YOU.

Step 8. Line up your cup drill to in between the offset curve and the dot you just made, flip It back and fourth to make sure your gonna poke through on the flat surface or you might scuff an edge.

Step 9. Take a deep breath, then pull the trigger. To quote the bronco suspension forums hold on tight and "Fuckin send it". If you badly screw up, ford sells new inserts.

Step 10. Blow off the plastic sawdust and use your pipe deburring pen to smooth the edges, a triangle file works too

Step 11. Put it on and see how it lines up. If it looks good take it back off and line it up with the other finder. Notice how I used pistol grip clamps to line them up and drill.

Step 12: Slap in the inserts and look at your work. It should look something like this

Keep in mind it's more important to drill the holes exactly the same then loosen the screws and center the fog lights later. The ford rigid fog lights have built-in play. If you drill both holes differently, you will notice. If you don't center them in their holes, thats okay, your fog lights might look like the O's in the hooters logo, which isn't that noticeable.

If anybody else has an easier way to do this, post below. Have a great Friday.
