It’s all good. This specifically is what was described.

“Four-door models have four removable roof sections –“

never happened…maybe some day.

And the removable glass side panels…. Jeep figured out before the Bronco launched.

It’s just marketing and a lame excuse to take more profit with less features.

I’m happy with my floppy loud roof Bronco. I switched to a soft top because I wanted my vehicle and the early MIC tops didn’t seem like a great option. I figured eventually I’d get that four removable panel roof with removable glass as a dealer item.

My ideal roof is still made of the illustrious unobtainium…
They do have 4 removable roof sections..... One over the driver, one over the passenger, one over the rear seats, and the back clam shell... ?????

AS mentioned... the removable glass was removed because it was failing and the glass was falling out. BUT... the build (design and manufacturing) has not changed.

You definitely are correct. I don’t consider the clam shell a “roof section” but by definition you are right. The non removable glass also now makes the entire clam shell removal the only option to get the back aired out. It is definitely semantics and these are details that just keep me in my current ride until a better option comes along.

Until then I take the 5 minutes to pull all the windows and flip the top down. The advantage is that I can take the whole top with me and lose minimal cargo area.

It’s what I really envy with the Jeep Skyactive top. With top retracted and side windows out, it’s damned near a soft top convenience.

I hope you are enjoying your Bronco as much as I do.

Actually it is the same top... they just stopped offering the removable windows. It seems to be built differently than the "MIC top... I look at the painted tops and they appear to be built just like my 2023 MOD top with removable windows.... There are significant differences in how they are designed and built when compared to the MIC top.
Yes, it is the same top made by Sheet Molded Compound (SMC) instead of the Thermoplastic Resin of the MIC top. From back at launch, the painted SMC top was known as the "Modular" HT to distinguish it from the MIC top. Initially, it was promoted to having the removable rear windows earning it the "Modular" moniker. As you mentioned, that feature was discontinued so continuing to use the "Modular" moniker has persisted even though there is nothing "Modular" about the current painted SMC HT.

@jehines3 The 4-dr does have four removable roof top components.
Front panel over the driver; Front panel over the front passenger; Middle panel over the rear passengers; And the Rear Clam Shell. Most of us don't really count the clam shell as a "panel", but it is a removable roof top component.

(Scratches head) Why does every other thread here degenerate into an argument about V8s or the MIC top? C’mon people! There’s power seats to fight about!!

I think I understand what you are saying now.... I just assumed this is what Ford always meant...

The skyactive type top is pretty cool and I am very glad to hear you are happy with the soft top. It is pretty nice I just have always had issues with the couple of soft tops I have had on other vehicles so I opted for the hard top. I absolutely love mine. I have taken the rear windows out once.... And that was just to see if they would come out.... It is just me and the wife so windows up and air con on... I roll them down every once and a while depending on the obstacle but I have 7 cameras now and can self spot pretty well without getting out of the truck.... I do get out to spot others all the time.

They can keep everything else, but that extra sound deadening sure has my eye...

People buying this will be hard core Bronco body style seekers. Otherwise, there are plenty of nicer interiors out there. Good grief. Upgraded seats and an arm rest or four aren’t terribly exciting.
