Been riding street bikes for over 40 years...none of them had doors. I did get the Mabett tube doors, though. Our off roading is slow, tight trails. I figure if I were to roll it over, the doors would help keep me and my legs in and not squished under the truck. They are well finished, close solidly, and do not rattle. They were $299 when I got them off Amazon, but they currently show as unavailable. The RC doors look nice, though. I do like the fillers.
Edit: They are also a nice height to lay your arm on. They are probably the 1.25" tubing vs 2", but it's not about the size of the tubing, it's how you use it.
